4.0 out of 5 stars Something outside of traditional tarot
I am a professional reader. However I have never been able to grasp the concepts of the traditional tarot card. I think, that would be because it just doesn't hold my interest. I like simple, down to earth, and to the point. These are the ingredients I look for in any product I purchase. This is what you will find with the Star Cards Set. Each card is clearly marked with...

3.0 out of 5 stars GORGEOUS cards!
I loved the packaging and the images of the cards. The cards were GORGEOUS and if I could just rate the cards alone for beauty it would be 5 stars or more. The one thing I would change about the cards I had would be that they would stick together like molasses. It was very hard to spread and separate which took much of the joy out of these cards.

The other...

Each card is clearly marked with a one word description for the interpreter. Again clear clean cut words, such as a card for Regeneration/Change, Partnerships, and Loner/Meditation. If you are new to deciphering cards for divination purposes, go to the beautifully bound hardcover book included. It will share with you the positive characteristics of the card, as well as the negative attributes. One thing I find for myself, even though I read professionally for others on a broad scale, I cannot read for myself. This cards allow me to retrieve personal insight. I pick one a day for myself. Record mentally the meaning, and apply it to the day ahead of me! So far, I can actually say, I have been accurate in the selection of my own cards! heehee The cards seem to offer me an unbiased self evaluation for once without stepping to far back, unexpectedly dropping off the cliff! The hardcover included will also head into detail on different spreads you can use bringing in issues of the past, how those old issues are working themselves into your present, and then sharing a way to make your future a bit better. The cards also use methods of Chaldean Numerology. Which I happen to just love anyway. A few years back a friend worked up a numerology chart for me. I thought...yea OK...numbers. You would think since I am in the field of work I am, I would learn that if something has been around for thousands of years, there has to be some kind of logic. I didn't think so with Numerology. When I received the chart from my co worker...I was amazed. It threw me into the in depth study of numbers. The cards will certainly help you to learn rapidly exactly how accurate a number can fit into the scheme of things. Again, without intricate study! At the top of each card, is a number, inside the hardcover book, is the meaning of the number, the planet it vibrates to, and how this number can forecast your day ahead, your clients situation, and answers on how to deal with any obstructions. The art work is an added plus. Again, if you are a beginner or semi new to reading cards for insight, study each portion of these cool new cards. And my suggestion, start with the stimulating art. You should immediately get the feel of the meaning of the cards, by tuning into the artwork. Classy, inviting, and informative deck.

For fans of Linda Goodman this is a real treat! I followed LInda's books and was overjoyed when the Star Cards came out. They're exquisite, and follow Linda's numerology teaching by the ancient Chaldeans. I found the official website dedicated to LInda's teachings at Lindagoodman.net where you can buy things mentioned in Linda's books. These cards are beautiful and use the magic of numbers to help illuminate the way ahead. I love them!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great guide!, September 25, 2001

These cards are a small reminder of Linda Goodman's Star Signs. It is a great aid to assisting you in reconnecting to the basis of natural laws, they just use different names - ie Mercury, Venus, etc. I have used other numerology but this one fits right in with so many things. Take for instance the WTC attack. This happened on the 11th day and if you read what the number means you will see that this world's energy runs on an orderly method and these cards hit close to home. Remember that these cards like anything else we humans use can be abused. They are an aid, a guide and as being human, the road our destiny takes is really our final choice, and these cards assist us to make spiritual choices based on an ancient knowledge that is being remembered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, well written and sooooo helpful, May 24, 2006
This review is from: Linda Goodman's Star Cards: A Divination Set Inspired by the Astrological and Numerological Teachings of Linda Goodman with Cards (Misc. Supplies)
Thoroughly enjoy these cards as part of my daily routine. They enable me to tap into another area I was unfamilar with, numerology, this is based from Linda's teachings from the Chaldean Alphabet. I'm a great fan of Linda Goodman and have read all her books, they are a constant source for advice and are regularly shared with my friends too. I think Crystal Bush has done a great job in capturing Linda's teachings and creating a beautiful card deck to read from, Crystal should be applauded for her resolve and tenacity in keeping Linda's teachings alive and present. From what I understand Crystal was a very good friend and support system to Linda Goodman before she died and Linda chose Crystal to continue in her name after she passed, if Linda trusted her, so should we! You won't regret this buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Leaving the darkness..., September 15, 2005
This review is from: Linda Goodman's Star Cards: A Divination Set Inspired by the Astrological and Numerological Teachings of Linda Goodman with Cards (Misc. Supplies)
Few weeks ago, I used to see life from the bottom of a well... and this wonderful book and cards came, surprisingly. I've read Linda Goodman's books (in spanish of course) and I notice that there's no difference between both languages... the magic remains.
Thanx Ms. Crystal Bush, this book helped me in the middle of nowhere. I thought that my last relationship was made in heaven but everything changed (like number 10)... Now I understand that this was necessary and number 12 show me the new path.
One of the most important books in my life... No doubt.

3.0 out of 5 stars GORGEOUS cards!, July 18, 2009
This review is from: Linda Goodman's Star Cards: A Divination Set Inspired by the Astrological and Numerological Teachings of Linda Goodman with Cards (Misc. Supplies)

The other thing I would change about this deck is the book descriptors. After pulling a few cards and looking up the meaning, I found them all to be pretty generic and full of spiritual fluff... I couldn't tell the cards apart anymore as far as meanings went. Plus, the messages didn't sound like Linda Goodman. I didn't believe other people when they posted it, but after getting the deck, I now believe. Linda always spoke honestly about the light and dark side of planets and signs, this deck didn't do that as well as it could.
