duped boobs,
I was really excited when I saw this was going to released on dvd. because the vhs was just a fuzzy version. but to my dismay all the dvd is the vhs fuzzy dupe on a disc. not a studio or professional job. was very disappointed. I have purchased unreleased dvds and expected that. but not when you pay $22 plus shipping for some fuzzy work.
with that said I wanted this movie becasue it is a funny satire 1970's style. full of familiar faces and boogey music. its like a old sit-com with nudity. and for that I am glad to own it. just wish when they announced the release they meant a new and clear copy. not just the same old thing on that vhs tape.

Many styles of humor from the stupid to the cerebral. Wackily relevant to the American 2010 election,

This review is from: Linda Lovelace for President (DVD)
My first viewing of this movie took place in a drive-in theater and I found it hilarious. The film opens with a caption that it is the intent of the producers to offend everyone. If they haven't it is certainly not for the lack of trying. There is a great deal of humor and since Linda Lovelace is the star some full nudity. However, this movie is primarily a political farce and given the political climate in the election of 2010 in the United States, more accurate than you would have thought when it was made.
The premise is that the U. S. electorate is factionalized and frustrated to a degree never before seen. A large number of small political parties gather in a Woodstock-like setting in an attempt to agree on a candidate that they all can support. After many trials, they finally agree to nominate Linda Lovelace as their candidate for president. Once she agrees, an entourage made up of many unusual characters that takes up two buses embarks on a trip around the country. Some of the members of her "staff" include an Asian man, a gay man, a strutting Nazi and a priest. There are many types of humor used in the movie, the incredibly stupid, bumbling incompetents, manic chase scenes and the subtle and cerebral. Examples of the incredibly stupid include the "Suicide for Fun Club", the visit of the entourage to a hillbilly village and the Indian party. The bumbling incompetent role is filled by an assassin hired to kill Linda that is more a danger to himself and his immediate surroundings than anyone else. There is a manic chase scene when the busses leave the hillbilly village after a misunderstanding and the movement of the buses and the hillbillies chasing them reminded me of the absurd chase scenes that were a signature of the "Benny Hill Show." Of course, this brand of humor originated with the classic "Keystone Cops" routines. An example of the cerebral is when there is a cemetery named "Soylent Greenlawn." This is of course a reference to the Soylent Green food made from human remains in the science fiction movie of the same name. Given the background of the star it is inevitable that Linda would be nude several times and that there would be some sexual innuendo. However, this is not a porn movie by any modern standards of consideration and what is unusual is the mildness of the language. Based on the words only, nearly all of the dialog could be used in the Saturday morning cartoons. This is a movie that is in the category of transitional, where movies could use nudity and sexual innuendo to generate laughs but before it reached the point where to be funny hard swear words had to dominate. I still find it funny and every time I watch it I spot some additional subtle points of humor.

This movie is not quite hard core porn, most of the sex scenes
are implied. It is kind of funny because it has Linda Lovelace from Deep Throat in it and also has Mikey Dolenz from the Monkees.
