I love these Swiss Steaks. I bake them with the gravy from the can at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes till they get a little crust and serve with mashed potatoes and a green vege. These large cans are great if you have 5 or more in your family. My husband and I are only two, so I open the can and divide up whats left putting them in the freezer till I'm ready for swiss steaks again. They freeze fine! As does any of the vege meat as it is made from grains. So the large cans are more economical even for a small family like ours. You can also add bell peppers, onions or be creative using them in recipies in place of meat. I've chopped them up and used them in a stir fry with veges over rice. Now I'm getting hungry!!! Lucky it will be supper soon. Hope this review helps!!! Amazon.com is a great way to buy these vege meats. They came within just a few days right to my door by UPS so I didn't have to carry the case far at all. My only complaint is I wish Amazon.com carried more of the Loma Linda & Worthington products or had some links to those who do. There are many more that are tasty that don't show up on my Amazon searches.

Swiss Stake is the most delicious veggie meat *ever*. Because it's a grain product, it can be safely prepared by cooking for 2-3 minutes on high in a microwave for those of us who are lazy. One serving option is to pour off the gravy into mashed potatoes.

I'm on my third order of these. Though I do find them to taste very much like Swiss steak, my favorite way to use them is for veggie burgers. They are a good sized pattie, don't shrink, can be microwaved, and lend themselves to any or all the extras you might want to add to a burger. With all the options, you can eat healthy burgers all the time and not get bored.

There is also a good amount of gravy in this large can and ... no grease.
Excellent value for the price.

Our family did not care for this product at all. It has a strong flavor that nobody in my family would eat. Even my husband, who eats about anything, would not eat it.
