Lindberg USS GATO submarine (SS-212)
Straight forward easy build model of a World War II era submarine, directions were good too nice detail especially for the price. Did research on the sub and discovered not 100% accurate of the USS Gato (SS-212), but is of the other boats in her class (especially of USS Drum (SS-228)located in Mobile Alabama.)The Gato class consits of over 70 subs. Great photo reference...

Complete Lack of Detail
I have several issues with this model kit. First, is a complete lack of detail. There are no railings at all...even though kits of subs with a smaller scale contain those items. Painting instructions have no relationship to the actual paint scheme of a gato class submarine. Plus, every picture I have seen of the Gato and other Gato class submarines, always have ONE deck...
