Lindburg used Testors S4 mold for this model. Except for the packaging THEY ARE IDENTICAL (the Lindburg model even still carries the Testors mold stamp). The price however is not. Bidders on EBAY are paying upwards of $40.00 (not including S&H) for the out of production Testors S4. I purchased the Lindburg model, brand new on Amazon for around $20.00 (this included S&H). Unless you just have to have the Testors box this is a much better bargain!

I am sorry if this seems over zealously radical of me, but as soon as I took the craft out of the box I noticed the saucer was completely warped. Not only didn't it fit to the proportions of the design specifications, but when I finally had it together, it looked like the edges were maintained with glue instead of a seamless conjunction.
Usually when I put together a model I like it to have the illusion that it's a replica of whatever it is in "real" life...Or within the realism of what the developers or in this case eyewitness originally intended. This didn't happen for me with this piece but maybe it will with you. Lindberg usually makes excellent models and I just finished an LST model from this company which I completed for my Veteran Father-in-law, so perhaps I just bought a lemon this time around.

Great UFO Flying Disk model. This is a duplicate of the original Testors model. It is even molded buy the same mold because there is a Testors logo on one of the pieces as well. This is a fun model to build, its easy, but its great practice for learning how to model paint. I also have the Original Testors model wrapped in the original plastic, which is awesome. This is a nice replacement for the Testors model, but it still does not compare. Looks cool if painted and assembled correctly. A must have for any UFO enthusiast!!
