This review is from: Lindberg 1/210 scale Monitor and 1/300 scale Merrimack ships (Toy)
The model arrived promptly. My son enjoyed putting it together. He is 11 years old and didn't have any trouble assembling the model. The model has to be painted and that is a challenge for him. I like the base that the models sit on. The base when painted creates the whole scene of the Monitor and Merrimac. We are studying the Civil War and my son loves ships and this model covers all the bases for us. I wonder are there more models like this if so, I'd buy them for him.

Bought for nephew who loves Civil War items. Good project for parent and child. Needs painting, so be prepared to do some work. Gold signage is included for base, base of white water needs to be painted as well.Lightweight box, though delicate cardboard box. Celophane wrapped like many model kits.

Why would models of two different scales be packaged together especially when the subjects of the kits battled each other?
