Loved the Tone the Pedal Broke after three sessions, April 2, 2007
This review is from: Line 6 PODxt Live (Electronics)
The tones out of this unit are awesome... But the Wah pedal broke on mine after three jam sessions
not much quality there. I went on the Line 6 website and it would appear this is a known issue by line 6.
I returned mine and went back to my old Digitech set up for now.

One of the best Multi effects system's ever!!!, December 14, 2006
This review is from: Line 6 PODxt Live (Electronics)
I am a semi pro guitarists, now a lot of people do not trust variable electronic effects systems and think the traditional route is best, for most systems that is correct but not Line 6 equipment. You can be a novice and use their stuff, an expert has even more goodies to look forward to like USB connectivity and on the fly tone adjustment, not to mention looking at about half the cost when compared to the traditional equipment. Here is my disclaimer, this is not a replacement for the traditional route just an early augmentation and an all around compact, quality, and just plain easy to use system to get you playing with the best in no time. All in all the Pod XT Live is one of the best all around tool a guitarist could ask for!!!!

All round bad experience., March 28, 2009
This review is from: Line 6 PODxt Live (Electronics)
I bought this effects board thinking "hey this is great. I can get all the effects in one place". The problems just got worse the more i used it. At first i noticed that it made a lot of feedback through my amp and a low thumping noise whenever i palm muted or played low range chords. I took it back to Guitar center and they said "oh it must be a faulty one" and they exchanged it for another. When i hooked the new one up I had the same problem. Tried it on several amp setups (all of which work great with any other effect pedals or guitars. I also thought it might be my guitar, so i tried other guitars with the same problem. I did some research online and didnt find much, just a few forum posts with people with the same issue and just being told that it must be their guitar or amp setup. I decided to take it to a friend of a friend who builds guitar sand repairs guitars and amps. He worked with it for a week and it still had the same issue. The only solution I could find for the problem was using an eq on my effects that cut lows....needless to say that doesnt sound the greatest.
Also, after about a month of using the podxt live with very careful use, (i take very good care of my music equipment), I noticed the wah pedal starting to make a horrible metal grinding sound and not working as it was supposed to. once again looked on the forums for podxt and found that its a known issue with the podxt live.
To summarize, i am not an anti Line 6 guy or anything, i do like some of their amps. However, this pedal board gave me nothing but headaches. The only effects i could seem to use (including factory loaded ones and ones i downloaded from line 6 themselves) without feedback and noise issues were very tinny and sounded highly processed. I couldn't see recomending this pedal board. It wouldnt be too much more costly to just buy the 3 or 4 pedals you use regularly and create your own pedal board.
