I would also love to see a Mac and Windows app.

When using the app with my iPad and the Amplifi on the other side of the room there was no issue with Bluetooth at all.
I am sad to report that - in spite of my long admiration for Line6 and their products - the Amplifi is a disaster.

For me, the jury is still out on the AmpliFi 150. After seeing the AmpliFi 150 in the Line6 booth at NAMM in January 2014, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this. I received the package safely last Saturday. Have been playing with it since.

Background: I am not a lifelong guitar player...I took it up at age 50 about 8 years ago, and play strictly for pleasure. I enjoy playing classic rock, typically to cranked-up music playing through my computer monitors. Generally, I run my Strat or LP through a Line6 Pod HD Pro (connected to a Mac to easily control the multiple effects) to a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb (that has been modded with Mercury Magnetics transformers). I love the sound (although my wife sometimes complains about the sound level!). The reason I was excited about the AmpliFi was the ability to slim down the equipment load...just play everything through one device with just one wire (the instrument cable between guitar and amp). The iOS concept really appealed to me. So the concept sold me. (And the looks didn't hurt).

Note: At NAMM, very difficult to really evaluate the sound, due to the ambient levels throughout the convention center!.

Evaluation so far.
1. Sound: Great for pre-recorded music. As in, playing your iPhone music through the AmpliFi sounds great. Playing guitar through the AmpliFi...not so much. I bought the 150 instead of the 75 because I was worried about the low frequencies of the smaller speaker, but the 150 just sounds muddy to me in lows and mids, and the highs don't seem well defined. After playing through the 65DRRI, this doesn't come close.

2. The controls. I do like the simplicity of the controls on the amp itself.
However, the amp seems to have bluetooth connectivity issues (i.e.

I am not sure what so many other people dislike about this, it seems like some didn't even buy but don't like that Line 6 is only set up with Apple? Whatever, review the product, NOT a corporate business decision.

I bought one of these after spending about 90 mins at store demo with a Line 6 rep. The Bluetooth worked great then and continues to at my house. Awesome for playing your playlist, sounds amazing and looks like a cool piece of furniture! We also used it with a little mixing board for vocals, guitar and piano and it sounded very good and there was plenty of volume for everyon in our little trio.

The whole point of this item (to me anyway) is to use the Line 6 cloud to find the tones of songs you like and the Amplifi reproduces those very accurately, the ability to slow down the song so you can learn a tough lick is really genius. Plus if you don't like the tone that is in the cloud you can design your own and use that. When using the app with my iPad and the Amplifi on the other side of the room there was no issue with Bluetooth at all. I think this is an awesome piece of gear, and priced really well!

While some may not like that you need an Apple product to really get the tone from the amp I love it. I updated the amp to the latest software and I have had no Bluetooth connection issues. I was a little skeptical at first but this amp has sone great sound. Line 6 could have had an online manual but most of its operation is self explanatory. I got this amp because I'm downsizing, got rid of a tube head and half stack (too loud and not very portable). Some will love this amp and others will hate it. I took a star for the lack of an effects loop and no speaker out (just in case you wanted to hook up a 2x12 or 4x12 cab). For the price I feel these features should be included. The carry handle is built in so it stays hidden. I really like the amp design.

Bottom line, if you have an iPad, iPod tuoch or iPhone you can get so much from this amp it's not funny. If you don't have these as an interface you are stuck with the built in tone. They aren't bad but not great either.

OMG! I loved this amp right away! Sounds AMAZING. Even my snobby tube lovin guitar player thinks so. But it's a whole new beast now! I have swapped out the speaker for an Eminence Beta 12A Speaker. This speaker is MUCH better. But let me make it clear this amp sounded wonderful before this change.

The swap has taken away any muddy or harsh distortion that was occurring before from effects frequencies clashing. The beta 12 a can also be used as a bass cab. What does that mean? I now have a Bass, Keyboard, and electric guitar amp all in one! And it sounds flippin amazing and clear!

I noticed this speaker uses more power however the amp was way too loud to begin with. Even now I never want to take it past 50-60% and if I take it to 11 there is no distortion because the speaker can handle more than what the amplifi pushes out.

And the cherry on top! Another reason to buy this amp and make the speaker switch? Remember it's supposed to be a boom box? Well the amplify sounds great as a guitar amp stock, but not so much as a boom box. It's decent but lacks bass. Sounds a bit thin...also I never broke in the other speaker but after the eminence speaker swap.... WOW. You will have a boom box that you'll never turn up past 50% unless you're crazy and if you do, it will sound absolutely perfect! No distortion all the way to 11! Bring it on!

As time goes by and the speaker breaks in... it just gets better and better!

Why on earth eminence speakers aren't in EVERYTHING is a mystery.

Now to the negatives - The cloud system for searching tones ... barely works. We'll hope for an update and I have a good feeling it will eventually come. I believe! Line 6 don't tease me! There is no organized way for searching other peoples created tones!
