Most Bluetooth speakers deliver dinky-sounding audio with hardly any volume. And as musicians, we know that doesn’t cut it. That’s why we built AMPLIFi to be the world’s best Bluetooth speaker system. Wirelessly stream your favorite tracks from any Bluetooth enabled device directly to AMPLIFi, and the 5-way full-range stereo speaker system delivers incredible sound quality with volume to spare. No cables. No hassle. It’s the best sounding Bluetooth speaker—at any price.

Innovative 5-Speaker Stereo Design

You’ve never heard a guitar amp sound this wide and spacious. AMPLIFi is loaded with five speakers that deliver the full sonic spectrum in a unique wet/dry configuration. By amplifying the dry and effects portions of your tone independently, AMPLIFi transmits every aspect of your guitar tone in stunning detail—from crystal-clear highs to deep and smooth low end. Minus the muddiness that effects sometimes introduce. Chorus and reverb shimmer like never before, while overdrive and distortion pack an extra punch. Featuring two tweeters, two mid-bass drivers, and a custom guitar speaker, the innovative AMPLIFi speaker design ensures every note will sound incredible.

Also the power switch being on the back is just a poor design choice.

You can either choose a song that you have in your itunes library on your device, and the app will automatically suggest a match.

When using the app with my iPad and the Amplifi on the other side of the room there was no issue with Bluetooth at all.

The perfect amplifier for SOME applications.
Without a doubt, the concept, the technology, and function of this amp is brilliant. It is quite a genius idea, and it is well carried out. Basically, it does everything that it says it does really well.

If you are either: a guitarist who likes to play a great variety of music requiring a variety of tones, a practicing musician who likes to play guitar along with backing tracks or along with your favorite mp3's, a guitarist that wants to bundle the function of a unique amp along with being a wonderful bluetooth speaker system for any electronic device.... if you are looking for those things, this is the amp for you.

If you are either: a musician who needs to bring a powerful amp to a gig, a musician who loves to rely on great pedals to give a variety of tones, a musician looking for that one big tube tone from a powerful amp.... this probably won't be the amp for you. However, you will still get a real kick out of the functions of this amp. In fact, this could still be one of your favorite toys, just not your all encompassing "go to" tube amp.

I assume that if you are reading this, you already know what the amp is supposed to do. I'll take this time to tell you what it does really well.

Bluetooth Speaker for your Electronic Device.
This is a fantastic speaker for connecting your bluetooth device. It will fill very large rooms or outdoor areas with sound if you like. It really does give a very clear sound at a very high volume.
It is by no means surround sound, and although it will fill a room, it doesn't necessarily spread the spectrum of the sound like separated stereo speaker system would.

Weight - Ideal , but the carrying bag is missing; is odd for not having a place to even store the power cord.

Appearance - Very fine. You can store it anywhere in the living room/man cave without seems a hindrance. On the contrary, it could become " conversation piece " .

Sound - Excellent , basically a good quality speaker . Note , if you go to jam , invest $100.00 plus to buy the 150 watts to survive with tube amps from your friends .

It can be used for other activities (such as PA ) .

Functions APP - The app has several functions

1 - Tuner - super super good and visually the best I've seen . Simple and easy to use.

2 - Effects - excellent interface , very simple , basic and easy to modify the effects . The effects reproduction is spectacular . Pretty similarity to the effect you want to imitate. The Editor is also simple and useful despite the complexity and knowledge that requires setting the effects.

Downside : You can only use 4 effects at once , which may be insufficient for some users. Usually a box of effects pedals has 4 modes of A / B or 1/2 switches to increase to 12 effects or patches without having to change the bank.

3 - Community - This is the area of greatest promise with the amp/app . The global collaboration of users ( without editing , the top contributors will be recognize by the public using an honor and ranking system ) is the best feature. Here you can request the the sounds and effects you want.

4 - Music Library - Only recognizes the songs that are in iTunes on your iPhone / iPad ( not those in the Cloud) .

I am not sure what so many other people dislike about this, it seems like some didn't even buy but don't like that Line 6 is only set up with Apple? Whatever, review the product, NOT a corporate business decision.

I bought one of these after spending about 90 mins at store demo with a Line 6 rep. The Bluetooth worked great then and continues to at my house. Awesome for playing your playlist, sounds amazing and looks like a cool piece of furniture! We also used it with a little mixing board for vocals, guitar and piano and it sounded very good and there was plenty of volume for everyon in our little trio.

The whole point of this item (to me anyway) is to use the Line 6 cloud to find the tones of songs you like and the Amplifi reproduces those very accurately, the ability to slow down the song so you can learn a tough lick is really genius. Plus if you don't like the tone that is in the cloud you can design your own and use that. When using the app with my iPad and the Amplifi on the other side of the room there was no issue with Bluetooth at all. I think this is an awesome piece of gear, and priced really well!

For me, the jury is still out on the AmpliFi 150. After seeing the AmpliFi 150 in the Line6 booth at NAMM in January 2014, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this. I received the package safely last Saturday. Have been playing with it since.

Background: I am not a lifelong guitar player...I took it up at age 50 about 8 years ago, and play strictly for pleasure. I enjoy playing classic rock, typically to cranked-up music playing through my computer monitors. Generally, I run my Strat or LP through a Line6 Pod HD Pro (connected to a Mac to easily control the multiple effects) to a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb (that has been modded with Mercury Magnetics transformers). I love the sound (although my wife sometimes complains about the sound level!). The reason I was excited about the AmpliFi was the ability to slim down the equipment load...just play everything through one device with just one wire (the instrument cable between guitar and amp). The iOS concept really appealed to me. So the concept sold me. (And the looks didn't hurt).

Note: At NAMM, very difficult to really evaluate the sound, due to the ambient levels throughout the convention center!.

Evaluation so far.
1. Sound: Great for pre-recorded music. As in, playing your iPhone music through the AmpliFi sounds great. Playing guitar through the AmpliFi...not so much. I bought the 150 instead of the 75 because I was worried about the low frequencies of the smaller speaker, but the 150 just sounds muddy to me in lows and mids, and the highs don't seem well defined. After playing through the 65DRRI, this doesn't come close.

2. The controls. I do like the simplicity of the controls on the amp itself.
However, the amp seems to have bluetooth connectivity issues (i.e.
