5.0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES this game!
My 10 yr old son was a die hard linerider.com fanatic and when he found out there was a new one that you can add sound, backgrounds, color, he was excited. He spends hours building new "lines" and loves it. I have gotten so many "thank yous" you couldn't imagine. He absolutely loves it.

Cannot rate it, cannot play it! My 11-yr old son received this game while celebrating Christmas 2 hrs away at his cousins house. Excited to try out the game, he popped it into his cousin's laptop. Upon arriving home he finds out that his activation code has already been used and cannot play it on his own computer. (Merry Christmas cousin! You just got a new Line Rider...

You just got a new Line Rider PC game.) My son cried himself to sleep and I will sit and wait for a response from the general inquiry department of the company just like the last person. I'm sorely disappointed that this product is so locked up that it cannot be played in both of our computers by simply using the CD.

My son is totally nuts about line rider and has been waiting eagerly to get his hands on the PC game. It was a major disappointment when we found out that you needed internet access to install the software, which given that we had just moved to Tanzania was not available at home. Hence, I installed it at work. The software took a long time to install and note that the offline version does not have that many options as the online version.

In addition, when my son came to the office to also play with the online options the software crashed. He could not get the program to work anymore and we did what, I guess, every person will do, we uninstalled and then re-installed the software. Here comes the major disappointment, we typed in the special green code that is to unlock the program and it stated that this code was already in use and hence the program would now not work at all anymore. Not very professional and we hope that the upcoming Wii version will not have these annoying shortcomings.

I am very disappointed in this program. I bought it for my son who loves Line Rider both on the internet and on the DS. But, he couldn't get it to load on his computer, and now he can't install it on any other computer because the code can't be used again. [...]

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy used!!!, August 2, 2009
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Line Rider 2: Unbound (DVD-ROM)
This game has a product code that has to be entered to play, and can only be used once. If you buy a used game the product code won't work for you and the game will be useless. It's kind of like Webkinz in that way. My son in so disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Game, HORRIBLE LICENCING (sp), February 8, 2009
A Kid's Review
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Line Rider 2: Unbound (DVD-ROM)
The game was awesome(when I got it). I installed it on my mothers computer and now I got a laptop and now when I try to install it on my laptop The licence it says is not usable anymore. I would not recomend this for people with an older PC, going to buy a new PC, or multiple computers. Don't get me wrong the game was fun but they really need to get a new type of licencing.

Basicly this game is a rip off.

My son loves the free online version of the game and was very excited to get this for Christmas. Well, it's the day after Christmas and he still can't play it. The game says there is no Internet connection (obviously there is, I'm here...right?) and won't let him play. It's ridiculous to need an Internet conection to play the game even the first time. Even software that costs [...] of dollars gives you a few chances to do it. The software came with absolutely no techical help, FAQ's etc. and their website has nothing either. I guess I'll just sit here and wait who knows how long and see if the general e-mail for the company answers me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Innovative, and brings back fun gaming again, September 27, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Line Rider 2: Unbound (DVD-ROM)
Its nice to see a title bring back the basics to gaming, which is fun and challenging. In an age where graphics, blood, and killing are the norm, its nice to see a company strive to do something different. This title goes back to the old school of PC gaming. Not the typical cookie cutter PC game, and you cant beat the value.

If I'd known that you needed internet for installation (so much for "Unbound") and that it would only work on the first pc you installed on, I would never have bought it. Thing is, I checked the minimum system requirements and there is NOTHING AT ALL there about installation requiring an internet connection.
