I have played several Vietnam-themed games and I consider myself a big history Vietnam war buff. I look for authenticity in a game, this game has it! You can choose several guns and explosives to use. I prefer the M-21 sniper rife, but there is also the SKS, M-79, M-60, AK-47, M-1911, Tokarev pistol, and even the Dragonov rifle as firearms options. The gun action and sounds are authentic as well. You can also throw grenades and plant claymores. The arsenal is authentic! What I love about this game is that unlike other games, the controls are simple to use, not to complicated, and it shouldn't be for a first-person shooter game. You also have your back-up shooter, and you can switch between the two players to play either one. This game really gives you the feel and look of being in the jungles of Vietnam, I was most impressed with the graphics of the night sky. The negative I have of the game is that sometimes it is confusing trying to figure out the best way to get to your next objective point using the games compass for directions. My favorite part of the game is being able to watch the Viet Cong and NVA looking for you and then taking them out from up atop a rocky cliff down below. I was very impressed with this simple to play game .

The game looks, operates and feels just like the Deadly Dozen 1 & 2. That is not to say that it is boring or bad, quite the contrary, it is a good game that feels like it puts you in an environment that would be similar to the Vietnam War, at least that is how I picture the being like. The only game I would recommend for people who are looking for a cheap version of Vietcong. Vietcong has more of a story, but this game has everything else that Vietcong has, and delivers so much of it's own ideas to set it apart.
