Whether you are a beginner phenomenon or have been rollingblading for years, you'll profit from the information in this indispensible resource.
YA--Dugard discusses the various protective devices and how to wear them effectively. Basic foot positions for novices and more advanced skills for experienced skaters are explained. Excellent diagrams clearly show the dynamics of in-line skating, e.g., properly attired skaters, correct way to put on skates, the techniques of push and glide, and muscles affected. All phases of the sport from preparation to cross training are demonstrated by action photos. The book assists skaters in setting individual goals, attaining those goals, and then setting new ones. For experienced skaters, it covers street hockey, extreme skating, and speed skating.

This review is from: In-Line Skating Made Easy (Made Easy Series) (Paperback)
This book has pages and pages of words and very little pictures. There are more than half of the book on "mental preparation", "altitude toward skating", "Why should you skating", "protection geer" and very little to do with actual "skating". It's hard to write a book on skating but this book is definately not up to standard.
