As president of my Home Owners Association, the company that installed our gate handed me 130 of these to pass out among the residents. After half of them were out, the gate company told me that they'd not been programmed properly. Fortunately, they are a snap to program. Open it up. Flip the 10 toggle switches to the proper code. Close. Use. Runs on a 9V battery.

I've had some issues looking for a replacement Multicode opener at the local hardware stores in the area. I tried 2 different universal remote door openers with no luck. Came across this on Amazon and thought, what the heck. It's the same brand and model, and somewhat same shape/style. I set the dipswitches to match my garage door and the thing worked on the first try. Good deal!

I bought this to give my girlfriend a remote control to my apartments, and it worked exactly as I'd expect. I simply looked up the model that I had, matched up the DIP switches, and it worked on the first try. It's nothing special, but I'm satisfied with the product, especially at the price point.

We use these remotes for all the garage doors at the many apartment complexes we manage. Although made of plastic, the remote feels sturdy/durable and not cheap/flimsy. Tenants have dropped these remotes, banged them around, etc. and the remote body seems to hold up well and doesn't scratch or dent easily. In fact, the remote body can be too solid such that the cover plate is hard to remove to access the programming switches/battery. The manual recommends inserting a coin into the slot to open the cover but I find that this doesn't work well. After trying a couple of different methods I figured out that the trick is to use the actual visor clip that comes with the remote to pry the cover plate open. If you need to change the codes often you might start wearing out the notch designed to open the cover plate which ends up making it more and more difficult to open.

The signal strength from these remotes are pretty good compared to the chamberlain/liftmaster multi-code compatible remotes. If you are encountering reception issues on these remotes it may not be an issue with the remote itself but the actual receiver/antenna. Try purchasing and installing the EXA-200 long range antenna made by Linear. Although costly, this antenna greatly improves the reception and range the remotes can operate. We had an apartment building that had solid concrete walls surrounding the garage that had poor remote reception. After installing the long-range antenna you could open the gate a half block away!

Received in a timely manner. Unfortunately, you have to be almost touching the garage door for it to work. :( Thought it was the battery that came with it, changed it... still the same.

Works great, I live in a gated community and need some extra remotes for family members to get into our gate, our association wanted us to pay $35.00 each for one similar, but I found these and gave it a try and worked perfectly once we set the code to match. At the time I paid under $10.00 so I am very happy with this remote.

I bought two of these units. Programming was very easy, matched the switches to the switches on my garage door opener and presto, they worked. Then I got down from the ladder, walked out side the garage and...no dice. Range is limited to about 2 to 3 feet from the garage door opener.

The opener was easy to program and works like a charm. it's also a much sleeker design than the original model.
