Multicode wireless keypad from Sanford and Son,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Linear 420001 300MHz Wireless Keypad (Electronics)
I received the keypad and installed it. It is a side business of mine to keep several automatic gates operating and have done this many times. The keypad has a problem with the wires to the battery it only works if you push up on the red wire while the battery is out. It is a sealed unit and I cannot get into it to repair a new item. Seems like a long process to get it returned in the mean time I have an unhappy customer.

Disappointed,
I received this product quickly from ASP doors. Unfortunately, that is the only positive feedback I can offer.I purchased a receiver and keypad that were defective. The assistance from Linear Corporation was less than adequate, and they were not able to address the problem. I could make the door actuate only when the transmitter was within 1" of the receiver antenna. Ultimately, Linear told me that I had to go to ASP Door to return the product. It has been a month and multiple e-mails to ASP Doors - with absolutely no response. I will not consider purchasing any product from ASP Doors again. Be advised that if you do, and the product is defective, that there is no phone number for ASP Doors and that they do not answer e-mails.

I bought this keypad as an exact replacement for a 9 year old unit. The keypad gets bombarded by New Mexico sun, eventually the keys and case harden and crack; 9 years is a long life in this environment. Purchased 6 months ago, works perfectly, exact fit to replace the old one. The price was very good and shipping was on-time. I recommend these to our friends with driveway gates.

I order a new wireless door open from 365garage doors parts and received it today. Did not expect it so fast being the holiday season and mail volume so high. I will order again if I need new parts. GREAT response to a order and I got what I ordered.

This product replaced my existing keypad that was 12 years old. Potential thieves had broken the battery cover off trying to figure out how to get it off a steel column. I duct taped the cover back on and used it for 2 more years. It still worked great but looked tacky so I bought another one just like it. Super easy to program and only took about 15 minutes to program and replace.

Installed rather quickly and works great so far. Replaced a similar unit so we knew how it should work. Would recommend.

This worked like a charm. It was easy to program. I mounted it outside my garage and I've had it for about 1 year without any issues. I would buy it again.

I contacted my garage door installer and was informed this was the wireless keypad I needed. He would provide and install the keypad for $150 ($50 for keypad $100 installation). I decided to search for the item and was happy to see it on Amazon at such a reasonable price. I wanted to try the installation myself. It was simple to install and I did it when my husband was at a golf tournament. I didn't need a drill to make the hole for the wood screw, you just have to make a small hole with a hammer and nail. The real trick is programming the unit. It is easy once you know that the sequence of numbers (open or closed) are located in the original garage door opener that is for use in you car. You can open it easily as if you were changing a battery. You don't have to have access to the mounted garage door opener. Nice saving almost $125!!!!!

I purchased this keypad to replace an identical one at our home. The old one's keys were getting sticky and it was generally unreliable. I'd changed the battery out but that made no difference. It clearly needed to be ditched b/c the new one works perfectly! Easy set up, too.
