Highly recommended, April 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Linear Circuit Analysis (Hardcover)
It is full of graphical aids, huge no. of worked examples, embedded with SPICE applications through out the book, comprehensive coverage of the subjects...etc.. It would be the replacement of Hayt's "Engineering circuit analysis" and the contemporay version of Desoer's classic " Basic Circuit Theory".

This review is from: Linear Circuit Analysis (Hardcover)
Very well written, good diagrams. Each section builds upon the previous one, but there are lots of problems to work on.

Excellent Linear Circuit Analysis Book, January 8, 2007
This review is from: Linear Circuit Analysis (Hardcover)
This text is by far the best circuit analysis text I have ever had a chance to look at. The author clearly understands the needs of undergraduate students. He also provides plenty of information on the Laplace and Z transform that is a basis for control systems class and a signals and systems class.
Be aware that according to the text you need 2 semesters of calculus to use this book. In my opinion, differential equations are also a good background. Note that in no way does the author leave you hanging with regard to a technique (such as integration by parts) because he includes this information in the appendices.
This book also bucks the current fad of including a section on the "relevance" of the topic to some real world applications.
The only area I wish to see beefed up is a section on three phase circuits.
