I moved into an existing home that already had a Delta 3 garage door receiver. I purchased this and was mildly disappointed. You do not have the flexibility to program in a code that is easy to remember. Depending on how the flip switches are set on the receiver, that is the code that you will need to enter. It works fine, is easy to install, and appears to hold up to the elements. My only complaint is that I would like to have the ability to enter my own personal rather than it being based on dip switch settings.

I thought I'd have to set some internal dip switches in some fashion or other. I guess that would be hard to do without making it too easy for a potential intruder to discover. The way this one works is that the code one enters on the key pad is the same as the dip switches on the receiver and other remotes. In other words, if your dip switches are in the "on" position at number 8, 4 and 3, you punch 8-4-3 on the key pad then the "Open" button and away you go. Simple enough; you just have to open up a transmitter or remote to see what the settings are. Instructions with the unit are fine.

This was an exact replacement for a 14-year-old unit that had just worn out (the keys didn't register when depressed). Unit works as good as the original when it was new. Very Satisfied that I didn't have to find a different unit to use.

These remotes are very good. The first one I had worked perfectly for 15 years and only replaced the battery twice. When the old unit finally stopped working I replaced with same model and so far it is working perfectly.

The device works fine, but is not programmable in the sense you can choose your own custom passcode. Your code is determined by the DIP switches on the main receiver unit. Other than that there are no issues.

Seems to work OK. The code you have to punch in has to start with the biggest number and then go to a smaller number. you cannot use numbers in any order.

it is a replacement for the exact same keypad that was over 25 years old and had become very stiff, but still worked. Very dependable
