Non-Disclosed Compatibility Issues Make This Multi-Code Remote Inoperable,

Out of well over 1,300 Amazon reviews, I have only given just two one-star ratings. Unfortunately, in spite of the glowing reviews from others on this product, I have to give my third to this utterly lacking Multi-Code single-channel micro transmitter. I needed a portable garage opener for a building that has a system that predates anyone who lives in the building now. Given its miniature size, this looked like a fine selection as it provides the necessary match to the increasingly rare ten-switch operation. In fact, I was excited that I received two of the remotes for the price.
I enthusiastically changed the switch positions to match the ten switches in the main component of the garage opening system. However, to my chagrin, neither remote worked with the system, even after I replaced the batteries included for ones I purchased at an electronics store. Luckily, I still have an old remote that works, but it is on the verge of disrepair. I could understand if one of the two remotes was inoperable due to manufacturing error, but for both to be inoperable, it shows me that there are non-disclosed limits to the compatibility of this remote to systems. Be forewarned that you will run this risk as well if you blindly purchase this product based solely on its ten-switch capability.

Easy to program. A snap to use.,

Obviously, I'm not going to carry a full sized remote when riding my motorcycle. Fortunately, the manufacturer of the remotes used in my community also makes this little gem. If you know what you're doing, you can program the code sequence in a matter of less than a minute. Pop the cover off. Change the 10 position switches. Close it back up again. Works like a charm.

Good opener with good range,
This opener works much better than some others that we have tried, especially with our gate which has trouble receiving signals. It even works from the 4th floor!

I have 4 of these, and they all work fine. They are easy to program, especially compared to a universal garage door opener I bought at Sears (which didn't work at all).
That said, they're not perfect. Extended use (we're talking years of use) will result in them ultimately breaking, as the plastic wears out the connection to the transmitter inside becomes more tenuous. I'm sure this is unavoidable. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that it sometimes takes more than one clicks to get the door to open. You have to learn a technique to get it consistently the first time, which can sometimes be a little frustrating.

When I bought my condo I received two of the old block shaped garage remotes. I learned from a neighbor that I could use this remote instead and purchased 3 of them. They work wonderfully and their small size makes storing them in the car or on a keychain very convenient. I recommend this remote for anyone who's system will allow it.

Small and powerful,

We were previously using a 2 button remote that was very large. It was used to open our front gate. This remote is tiny compared to our old large remote. It's much easier to keep tucked away in the side pocket of the car door. And the transmit distance is just as good as our old large remote.

The best with your multicode opener,

This key-chain size remote is the best you can get for your multicode garage door. Configured and working in less than a minute. The only thing that it could have been a little more sturdy, but we'll see about that in the long run. Very good choice so far.

Convenient and handy. It can be put on its own keyring and just attach it with the rest of car keys. That way, you don't get to lose it.

FOr the life of me I could not match the garage door with a new remote, as when I bought my condo they gave me large cumbersome remotes, this takes 2 seconds to set and operate. I would also recommend you buy them from ASPdoors, (look under my profile) as these are easily the best service, they put up with my 6 million questions, my returns, and then matched me the correct remote.
