Great work!,

This review is from: Lines From The Frame (MP3 Download)
I have all three Magnolia Summer records and have seen them live a number of times. Although Lines From The Frame is consistent and true to their sound, it's sharper, more mature and diverse than the previous two efforts. Short Wave Decline is perhaps one of the best tracks, followed by Birds without a Wire.
Magnolia Summer is more than just a midwestern rock band riding the coat tails of Wilco or Son Volt. They are their own band. They're sincere and honest in their work. The sound is as homegrown and true to their STL roots as Schafly beer (regional reference: it's the only beer made and owned in St. Louis). I highly recommend this. |
