What made the experience tolerable was Nurse Camp's romance with one of the airmen who flew the Hump, supplying O.S.S. troops behind Japanese lines and carrying General Joseph Stillwell's Chinese troops to fight the battle of North Burma. She accompanied her future husband on some of his missions. Based, in part, on letters she wrote to her parents, this is the poignant story of one nurse's experience in World War II and how her service changed her life forever.

If you are looking for a book that is beautifully written and is a story that you just can't put down, this is the book for you!!! I really enjoyed this story of the author's World War experience and the romance that sprouted during such a terrible time in this world's history!!! It was an amazing story and I would definatly read it again!! This World War nurse tells all in this non-fiction story.

My Grandmother wrote this book, and when I read it I was absolutely stunned! This is a shocking love story about a nurse in world war II and all the breathtaking things she experienced! I reccomend this book to anyone! There are also great pictures in this book of the author and her friends during the war. Some of the things she saw and did will put you on the edge of your seat! This is a book I would not recommend putting down!!!
