My Grandmother wrote this book, and when I read it I was absolutely stunned! This is a shocking love story about a nurse in world war II and all the breathtaking things she experienced! I reccomend this book to anyone! There are also great pictures in this book of the author and her friends during the war. Some of the things she saw and did will put you on the edge of your seat! This is a book I would not recommend putting down!!!

If you are looking for a book that is beautifully written and is a story that you just can't put down, this is the book for you!!! I really enjoyed this story of the author's World War experience and the romance that sprouted during such a terrible time in this world's history!!! It was an amazing story and I would definatly read it again!! This World War nurse tells all in this non-fiction story.

A rare find of a love story featuring personal experiences of two service people stationed in China during the Second World War. We have few memoirs written by women during this era. A memorable find.

This is a good book to understand the hardships that the nurses went through while taking care of the sick and wounded. First hand experiences are always the most interesting and M's Camp does just that.

The China-Burma-India (CBI)theater of war has been largely ignored when the history of WWII is recounted, but the many army nurses who served in the jungles of Burma experienced a part of it that is known only to them. This is a wonderfully well-written memoir of one of those women, who left the comfort of the U.S. to live in a world that is hard to describe, because of the hardship and circumstances war demands. The Japanese had invaded China and the Allies were trying to defeat them from bases in China, India and Burma. These nurses cared for not only the American troops who were involved on the ground and in the air, but the many Chinese troops. The foreign language and customs were an obstacle in themselves, let alone the climate and strange illnesses that confronted medical units who were assigned to these countries. The author, a U.S. Army nurse, tells of her life during this time, and how the romance that she found there helped her live through it. My book, NO TIME FOR FEAR, VOICES OF AMERICAN MILITARY NURSES IN WORLD WAR II, has oral histories of nurses who were there at the same time, and each has a strong story to tell.
