This review is from: A Linguistic Atlas of Late Mediaeval English (Hardcover)
The scope of this work is similar to Manly & Rickert's Texts of the Canterbury Tales. Likewise, it is the most extensive and almost solitary work of its kind in late medieval english. If one can afford it, it is a superb research tool, if only a springboard into further discussions of linguistic patterns in medieval manuscripts and incunables. The work is figuratively and physically heavy, large, and expansive.

This review is from: A Linguistic Atlas of Late Mediaeval English (Hardcover)
The book was described accurately, as regards both content and condition. The work itself is a remarkable achievement, and a great adjunct to reading texts of that era.
