A snooty teenager, Kate, is an unwilling guest at her grandmother's home for the summer and, to make matters worse, she arrives on the day of her dead Aunt Sarah's birthday. The fact that Kate is a dead ringer for her Aunt Sarah, and the same age her aunt was at the time of her untimely demise, some forty years ago, stirs old memories that have everyone in a tizzy.
In the mist of all this pandemonium, Kate is mysteriously transported back to the year 1960, a time preceding Sarah's alleged suicide, and is immediately cast into the role of Sarah. She has no choice but to let the scene play out. Has she resurrected Sarah's ghost? Does her aunt have a message from beyond the grave? Why is this happening to her?
Kate's incredible journey in Sarah's footsteps opens her eyes to a web of deceit and closely guarded secrets that she is determined to bring to light. But as the date of Sarah's death looms ever nearer, Kate wonders if she will find a way back home to her own time or must she suffer the same fate as Sarah? The odds seem stacked against her as her quest for justice for Sarah puts Kate's own life in jeopardy.
This book held my interest from the first page to the last. Just when I breathed a sigh of relief that Kate's time travel ordeal was behind her, the author hit me with a surprise ending I didn't see coming. Looking forward to reading more books by this author. Well done, Jessica Tornese. Well done!

This story is so Amazing ! Kate the girl ended up back in time during a storm while jumping through a hatch on the barn, falls in the hay and goes back in time of the place where Sarah was a little girl, and everyone thinks Kate was Sarah now!! Now Kate has to endure hard labor on the farm, without the luxuries of shoes and the lifestyle she once had. During the time Kate finds out what really happened to Sarah! When I first started reading the book I was unable to put it down, I read it through one whole day! I can't wait for the next book, because of the way the author foreshadowed the next book to come! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!

This book was a fun surprise! I really enjoyed it. I thought Ms. Tornese's character development was really good, along with her storyline. There were also some really good lessons that this book taught like having a hard work ethic and not taking the things we have for granted. There was a little bit of language, but there were also a couple of attmepted rape scenes and the murder of a character. I don't think it is appropriate for children younger than 16. I liked it a lot and would recommend it with the previous warnings. You may read my full review on my book blog: [...].

This young adult novel, Linked Through Time, is an easy read that has something for everyone. It is a paranormal because Kate Christianson is transported back in time to 1960 and becomes her Aunt Sarah. It is a mystery because our young heroine is forced to uncover the truth about what really happened to her aunt at the rapids. It is literary fiction as a young teen gains a better understanding of her father and endures the hardships on a farm. It is also very much a romance as young Kate has two suitors, Dave Slator and Travis Kochevar, who vie for her affection. I will not explain the sequence of events as it would spoil the book for the reader. Just let me say this; if you enjoy action, adventure, romance, and heartfelt humor you will enjoy reading this book. Review completed by Gary Peterson; author of paranormal mysteries and children's books.

I was in between books and wanted a quick read that I couldn't put down and this was the perfect choice!! I read it in a weekend and loved every minute of it. The plot had me waiting to see what was going to happen, and the ending was not precisely what I expected. I know the sequel is coming and I cannot wait! The ending leaves you wondering and wanting more! I would most definitely recommend this book to all ages, adults looking for a great leisure book or teens that you are hoping gets hooked on reading. Five stars!!

Linked Through Time is a wonderful read for any age group. I especially enjoyed the parts about growing up in a rural setting in the 60's. The author, Jessica Tornese, is a storyteller and the history of the Baudette area comes alive with her words!.
Kate, who is 15, hates the thought of spending the summer on her grandparent farm near Baudette without a cell phone, computer or cable TV. Life changes drastically when Kate finds herself back in the 60's. Interesting things start happening. I could not put the book down!

I really enjoyed this book and can not wait for the sequel. I read it in one day because I could not put it down and have recommended this book to all my friends. Time Travel has been one of my favorites and she made it interesting and with unexpected twists. I hope to read a lot of novels by Jessica Tornese in the future.

Kate Christensen is your typical teenager: angry at the world, angry at her dad and angry at having to spend the summer at her grandparents farm. About the only person that she really isn't angry with is her little brother, who goes off in exploration of the barn. After following him to the barn, Kate plays around and finds herself taking a header to the ground after a freak lightning accident.

When she comes to, she finds herself like Dorothy, in that she isn't in Kansas anymore, or rather, modern day Minnesota. Instead, she finds herself transported back in time to the early 60's, in the body of her dear departed Aunt Sarah.

"Linked Through Time" is an thoroughly enjoyable read, Jessica puts a unique twist on the YA mystery genre by using time travel. It deals with the serious subject of domestic abuse in a way that doesn't turn you off by either being preachy or excessively violent.

I'm normally not one for the YA genre, but I found myself not only constantly turning the page while reading it, but reading it when I should've been working.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes murder mysteries, as this readily transcends the YA genre.
