In August 24, 2009, The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), the world’s largest professional association dedicated to the training and development field, announced that it has formally acquired the United Professional Sales Association (UPSA). Martin has a deep passion to support ethical sales professional exceed their goals and keep their competitive edge. Since 2006 Martin has been offering LinkedIn training, Social Media for Business and web reputation enhancement skills. He lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Barbara offering training throughout the state for the Small Business Center of community colleges. Greg Hyer is the founder of LinkingtheTriangle.com and several online networking groups such as the Linking the Triangle, eTail eMail and the Linking into Sales groups on LinkedIn.com. As a local professional networking advocate, Greg organizes networking events and conducts training on social media tools like LinkedIn.com. In the interest of full disclosure, I have known Martin Brossman for some time and have met Greg Hyer one time and known of him for a while. You will not find anyone who understand Linkedin and the professional aspects of using it with the real experience to back it up, than these two men. This book is the culmination of that experience.

This is a timely, useful book. You don't have to be in sales to find this guide useful. I had been using LinkedIn before reading the book, this guided tour into some of the under utilized (by me) functionality helps me use LinkedIn as a source to research and better understand my customers. I keep going back to it and refining my profile. I highly recommend.
