This is not really a source to speaker system question - it is a source to receiver question. Can you connect a PC and PS3 to a 5.1 receiver? The PC audio out is generally a 3.5 mm plug. You can buy a cable with a mini plug on one end and 2 RCA connectors on the other. This will allow you to plug the PC to the receiver. Problem is that you are limited to 2 channel audio. You will not be able to take advantage of 5.1 audio. The source is 2 channel. Seems like overkill to buy a 5.1 reciever and 5.1 speaker system.
