Create all-new courses with two course design kits. Like golf's top architects, you can create new challenging courses with the Course Designer (available separately in Links 2001). Expand your course-building capabilities with all-new planting sets featuring hundreds of golf-course objects, trees, foliage, matching skies, and panoramas for realistic environments and more, so you can design--and play--a greater variety of new courses.
The Links 2001 expansion courses feature four championship courses newly designed for Links 2001. One example is Thanksgiving Point, designed by Johnny Miller. Thanksgiving Point Golf Course is part of a 550-acre attraction featuring botanical gardens, a nursery, restaurants, a gift shop, and a dinosaur museum. Playing more than 7,700 yards from the black tees, the course requires accuracy with long irons in order to score well. Picturesque par 3s decorate Thanksgiving Point, giving spectacular views of the area's Wasatch Mountains. The 2001 version also includes Banff Springs, Pelican Hill, and the Canyons at Bighorn courses.

Thank goodness for the course converter,

This review is from: Links 2001 Courses Expansion (CD-ROM)
I have seen alot of horrible reviews for Links 2001, but the only one holding me back was the course converter option. Now that this expanded edition has it (Even though you can download it from the website for free), I am putting in my order for both Links 2001 and the Expansion pack. Banff Springs is one of my favorite courses and they redesigned it to support the full effect of Links 2001's 3d engine. I can't wait to try it out. I will let you know how it plays!
