Many junior golf companies cut corners by using a zinc/alloy material to manufacture their heads which is not durable and does not provide the necessary feel and results in your shots compared to stainless steel. 2.) These are too big for my 5 year old, even though he is tall for his age. I thought about keeping them and waiting until he fitted them so to that end, I cut down an old 6 iron I had. Unfortunately, the tapered top of the shaft of the cut down six iron is too big for a junior grip, and too small for a senior grip. I ended up cutting down the Linksman clubs by 4 inches and regripped them with junior grips myself. (You can buy a re-gripping kit for $15, and grips are a dollar from [...], and video instructions are on youtube). I know that means the clubs might be too small for him when he is 7 or 8, but we'll re-assess then. Difficult to outfit a growing child!
