Too big for a 5 year old, probably too small for a nine year old.,

These are too big for my 5 year old, even though he is tall for his age. I thought about keeping them and waiting until he fitted them so to that end, I cut down an old 6 iron I had. Unfortunately, the tapered top of the shaft of the cut down six iron is too big for a junior grip, and too small for a senior grip. I ended up cutting down the Linksman clubs by 4 inches and regripped them with junior grips myself. (You can buy a re-gripping kit for $15, and grips are a dollar from [...], and video instructions are on youtube). I know that means the clubs might be too small for him when he is 7 or 8, but we'll re-assess then. Difficult to outfit a growing child!
