This table arrived with some scratches and cracks, but when assembled is sturdy and attractive.

The first table I ordered was so badly damaged in shipping that the mail carrier refused to deliver it, and its replacement was pretty banged up as well. The packaging could stand to be more protective considering some of the pieces are thin wood (e.g. drawer bottoms).

As for the table itself, this is a very good quality piece for the price. Assembly is reasonable, taking about 1/2 hour to put together. The drawers move smoothly without catching, and all the pieces line up properly. The finish is a more of a deep espresso color than a black. This looks like an expensive table from a furniture store, and is sure to get a lot of compliments.

This is one of the best if not the best coffee table I have ever owned. I purchased one a few months ago and lost it in hurricane ike. It was such a great coffee table we had to purchase another one. It is extremely sturdy and beautiful. Not cheap at all very study and well made. The price is the best we have seen for something with such good quality. Overall I don't see anything wrong with it, it's well made, very solid wood and craftsmanship, and looks great. We are getting a piece of glass cut to go on the top of it and put pictures of the family on the top in between the table and the glass and have our last name etched in the glass. Hope this helps

This is a beautiful table. It is very solid, sturdy, and great quality for the price. It is a nice dark black color, when it was in pieces it looked more like an espresso color, but once it is assembled, it is definitely black. It was fairly easy to put together. It arrived pretty quickly as well. I spent a lot of time looking locally and online for a black coffee table that was not cheap looking or made of partical board. This is exactly what I was hoping to find.

I would have given it 5 stars for it's looks and quality, but I am giving it 3 for the following reasons...

When I received this item, it was severely damaged. I contacted amazon, and they shipped me a second table (at no charge) the following week, which was ALSO very damaged. I literally had to piece together undamaged parts from the two boxes to get a complete table. Our completed table still has damage on one end of the table top, and also the center shelf. But we are keeping it, because I did not want to risk having a third table sent to me, only to have it also arrive damaged. I contacted amazon about the second table, and they have offered a small credit for the damages. The company who manufactures and ships this item, needs to change the way that it is packaged to avoid this problem. Hopefully if you are ordering this table, it will not arrive damaged like mine did.

Also, it shows dust, pet hair, and fingerprints like crazy! We have a cat and a gog who both have black fur, and the table is constantly covered with hair. I have to dust it, and wipe down the table top everyday to keep it looking nice. We have other black furniture in our home, that does not have this problem. You will need to use a coaster on it, and dust it often.

This is very quality table for the price. The construction is solid and the parts fit together perfectly. My only complaint is that it arrived with some damage on the corners.

I've never built anything in my life and this was a piece of cake. Nice and sturdy and it looks great.

It's like an Ikea table but with signifcantly worse quality. Holes don't quite line up and the instructions are actually incorrect in a few places. What's worse, after about a month one of the shoddily manufactured pieces apparently broke, and the whole thing collapsed causing minor injuries and carpet stains.

I ordered this coffee table because I liked how it looked and was affordable. I wish I hadn't though. It came fast but when we took everything out we were missing a locking bolt but my Husband is handy with this stuff so we went to build it. He was putting in the cap the hooks into the locking bolt and the cap broke. Okay yet again he said it was fine but then later on one of the side pieces was missing a plastic insert that allows you to screw it in. All in all with the missing parts it's still standing and is sturdy. We have also moved it around a few times so that just leaves the fact that it isn't black. It's kinda brownish black. . . The top looks pretty black and the draws are nowhere as deep as I thought. Honestly I would return it because I really don't like it but I don't have the time to replace it and nothing else to use until then. Take my word for it though I would keep looking if I were you. I wish I had.
