I was going nuts with the hair in the house, on the clothes, furniture, floating in the air, etc. etc. I bought a lint wizard and it's like a miracle. I can clean fur off of beds, furniture, carpets, clothes, even my skin easy as pie!!

I keep one in the car, one in each room in the house, and a couple in the storage closet just in case one breaks. They do wear out, though I still have the first one I bought and it's several months old and still working. But they lose their fibers as you use them over and over. Even at this, they last much longer, with less hassle than sticky paper rolls.

Reading some of the reviews, I see that some people don't really understand how to use them. My husband didn't and after I gave him a demonstration he was sold. You have to be sure the side you're using is going against the direction you're dragging it. If it feels smooth, it won't pick anything up. And remember that it changes direction each time you twist the dial to deposit lint and hair into the plastic back. Just pass your thumb over it before you use it and you'll know if you've got it right. And if the plastic back comes open, just press your thumb down on it as you clean. No big deal.

THIS THING IS A MIRACLE IN MY LIFE. I have no more cat hair problems. And with two Persian indoor cats, that's saying something.

This is probably the best cat hair remover for use on furniture I have.
Of course the sticky rollers work great but I swear I can go through all the sheets of a jumbo roller in 1 "de-cat hair everything" trip around the house.
So this Lint Wizard was the answer. Works great, and the "self cleaning" thing is what makes this one so much better than a regular lint brush.
I have to clean off the pad after practically every swipe, it gets that cat hairy- so be sure to keep it clean or it doesn't work right.

The only problem I have with it is the "self cleaning" thing breaks.

After my first trip around the house testing it out (one of the times I was cleaning it off) the side piece (that actually cleans off the pad as it swipes by) popped off. A little spring flew out and a tiny plastic tab broke off so the little cleaning edge wouldn't stay on anymore. I taped it on with packing tape and it stayed. About a year later I was cleaning it off again and the other side did the same thing, popped off the little spring flew out and a tiny plastic tab broke off. I taped that side on, but now with both sides broken and taped it's not working as well.
So it's time to get a new one! Of course I really can't complain since it's only $10, and I was easily going through 1-2 of the sticky roller a WEEK at like $4 each. So I definitely got my monies worth.

I definitely recommend this for removing cat hair from furniture-- but just be careful when you clean it off and don't get overzealous with the cleaning like I think I do!

All it is is a red lint brush that is self cleaning. If the red lint brushes work for you then so will this....otherwise keep your money. BTW, a red lint brush at the dollar store + your vaccuum cleaner would be even cheaper.

I use this strictly for removing cat hair from furniture. It's the best thing I've found to get that never-ending job done. If anything happens that this one doesn't work anymore, I'll definitely be buying another one!

I bought this mainly for clothing but it really doesn't do a good job. I keep passing the brush over and over but the lint is still there. For all the other purposes I believe it gets the job done ok. It does seem like a fragile tool so be careful with it.

general stuff: came w/ the normal brush and a small travel version. delivery time was pretty good, but the shipping packaging was pretty beat up. the brush part is actually Red and not Black like the picture.

pros:
self cleaning works well.
works fantastic on dog hair, but it does't replace the normal tape rollers.
bonus travel version is nice to have.

cons:
feels really cheap. the plastic is flimsy and feels like it could snap at any moment.
a little difficult to use because the brush part is flat w/ the handle and if you're using it on a couch, you may end up giving yourself rug burn.

the reason why i'm only giving this 2 stars is because the lint trap door was broken when the brush arrived. the cleaning slide button broke the first day i used it, even though it works, it's difficult to do w/a broke tab. all in all, it works pretty good, but does not replace a lint roller.

This is really amazing, I have two cats and when I decide to wear black my clothes have a lot of cat hair, but with just a couple of passes with this tool, and hair is gone!!! LOL

It's great. Make sure you have the directional selector going the right way, and I clean it after every swipe. This is far and a way the best lint brush I've ever used. I used it several times a day and am actually thinking about getting a second one to keep downstairs.

I have always had animals in my home, and I guess I've always been partial to the long haired breeds, whether dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, you-name-its, etc.... My poor husband and children have constantly had to deal with pet hair on their clothes, so we've had numerous lint removers throughout the years--the masking tape rollers most commonly.

My Lint Wizard came as a gift with another pet product I purchased a few years ago. I'd never heard of The Lint Wizard before then, but according its description, it looked like it was going to be pretty similar to the "padded" lint brushes I'd tried in the past and with which I never was particularly impressed. However, the "self cleaning" mechanism was a new feature that peaked my interest, since cleaning the red lint pads was exactly what I liked least about those brushes. Nonetheless, I certainly didn't have any grand expectations.

Was I surprised! Without doubt, this lint brush is the best lint remover I've ever owned. I misplaced mine--actually, one of my ferrets ran off with it and hid it from me--for a couple of months, and I sincerely missed the gadget! I love that it works in either direction. I love that it really does self clean. I love that it holds onto the lint and hair until I'm finished using it. I love how light weight it is. I love everything about it!

I'd have given the product five stars if it weren't for the poor quality of the door that keeps the lint and hair contained in the brush. I dropped mine some time back, and one of the plastic tabs that the door hinges on cracked off. I understand that for less than $10.00 I can't expect outstanding craftsmanship, but I think the product should allow for some banging around, especially considering the circumstances of its employment???.

If, for example, the latch that holds the door shut was just a little better secured, the door might not have popped open when I dropped the brush, and the tab wouldn't have broken. Moreover, if it wasn't for the fact that some other reviews mentioned similar problems with quality, I'd have simply blamed my own clumsiness for the fracture and given the item five stars, but it does seem that craftsmanship is a problem--albeit, a considerably minor one.

Overall, the Lint Wizard does exactly what it claims it will do, and in my opinion, it does it better than any other lint remover I've tried. Currently, I have two, eight-year-old, rough, white collies. Consequently, I am persistently cleaning remarkably visible, very long and fine, white hairs off nearly everything in the house! The Lint Wizard has made that job easier for me than any other lint remover has yet. I won't be without one until something better comes along!

This thing is the best de-furring tool I've seen for our dark microfiber sofa and our two long haired white cats. After years with long haired dogs and cats, we finally found something that works, incredibly well. Really amazing, you won't be disappointed. Wow.
