Linux operating systems is a complex, powerful, awesome, fantastic, open source, and free operating system that can be used with the most stable and productive resources. Linux software is an open source that Linux programmers from all over the world spend their spare time working on, sharing, developing, helping, and fixing any glitch problem with other programmers.

Linux exploded and changed the computer industry way. The world of computer business practices will never be the same, as Linux grow stronger for all computer users. Neither laws nor policies are enforced that can control your Linux operating systems! The Linux developer believes in and cherishes greater freedom for computer users you can download, copy, and share with your friends, loved one, and co-workers for free! Indeed, you are allowed to change Linux operating system to whatever you want it to do, because it is under GNU General Public License. See Appendix A. All the Commands, Tables, Figures, Programs, Scripts, and Files in this book are under GNU General Public License, too.

You have a guaranteed GNU General Public License for freedom to share. And you are allowed to change the software freely. Plus, you are allowed to sell your download Linux box under your brand name for any price you want to. No license fee! The Linux box comes with multimedia, such as, Internet browser, word processors, text editor, databases, games, graphics, mailbox, programming, utilities, chat, themes, MP3. Learning how to configure and set up the Linux operating systems comes with many different flavors of Window's sessions, which is not a simple thing for a beginner (Newbie). It takes many technical levels and hard work. But soon, it will become easier following the next newer version of Linux Box. Linux is really a free operating system if you know what you are doing. It is not necessarily expensive. There is a charge for service. Each Linux distributor does not get all the credit for Linux work. You can download free or you can get it from a distributor at an unbelievable low price. You only pay for the CD package products.RedHat is one of many distributors developing their own simple installation procedure as their own official Linux operating systems, Official RedHat Linux Box comes with Gnome, Enlightenment, and KDE that support dual or more processors. There is another distributor, Linux-Mandrake.

Linux-Mandrake is an excellent Linux product for Newbie and Expert, too. Linux-Mandrake is a 100% Linux operating system compatible with RedHat, Enlightenment, Gnome, and KDE and has a low price. In the past, BeroLinux used to be another excellent product that comes integrated with Gnome and KDE. Now, they are merged with the Linux-Mandrake team. Linux-Mandrake won two awards at LinuxWorld Expo in August 1999 for the best product of the year and best Linux Distribution/Server. Mandrake is a better RedHat product than Official RedHat, but RedHat has earned credit in leadership and vision. This book is written to help the Newbie who wants to learn how to use the Linux operating system quickly, easily, and smoothly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Making Linux Understandable, November 22, 2003

This review is from: Linux Power User For Newbies (Paperback)
I bought this book a while ago because I was curious about the subject (and I happen to know the author). While I have never spoken to him about this book, in my opinion, it takes the reader through a complex subject step by step. I would recommend it to anyone interested in Linux.
