5.0 out of 5 stars Great sysadmin book for Linux and Unix, October 22, 1999
This review is from: Linux System Administration (The Landmark Series) (Paperback)
Linux System Administration showed me how what we had been doing was wrong. Since configuring our systems as suggested in the book, our network has run without a hitch.

This book was hard to put down. It is an easy to read yet technical explanation of how to do system administration. It is not a rehash of man pages, but rather an explanation of how to solve real-world problems and where to look for more detailed technical information.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for technical people, May 26, 2000
This review is from: Linux System Administration (The Landmark Series) (Paperback)
This book is not for technical people who are eager to learn Linux. It justs give brief information on Linux, something you may have already read a thousand time in the introductions of Linux documents. It is definitely not in depth enough to teach you how to administrate a Linux server.

3.0 out of 5 stars More managerial than Technical, July 5, 2000
This review is from: Linux System Administration (The Landmark Series) (Paperback)
After read this book book, I found many managerial strategy that we need to apply on administering system (Not just LINUX). I got many idea on administering system from this book and applied it (also for NT). I think this book is good for someone who want to do system administrator job. For more technical information you still need to read Linux Howto and other references.
