GOOD:
Book is fine, content meets expectations.
It's not expensive.

REGULAR:
However, this book is just like a summary, it is not as detailed as other ones from Mr. Sanders (I have 730, 731 and 734).
Also, this book does not have sample q's, which the other ones do.

Book content meets expectations.
Unfortunately quality of scan provided as kindle version is poor. Consequently it makes comfort of reading of the book on kindle poor, especially in comparison to paperback versions of Mr Sanders series I've on my shelf. I feel discouraged from buying kindle version of such type of books for some time.

This is a short book good for quick last minute review before the exam. It is not as detailed as a text book. It is a summary version listing the various commands and their brief explanation/definitions. It is a short book good for review and to have a quick reading in the train/bus before going to exam.

DB2 9.7 for Linux, UNIX and Windows Database Administration Certification Student Notes is an excellent resource. The study notes cover all the objectives or the Exam 541 using the presentation material used to teach the DB2 9.7 LUW DBA Certification Exam Crammer Course that is offered at the IOD Global Conference. At the 2011 IOD Global in Las Vegas, a customer told me he had taken the exam and not done well. I suggested they purchase this book, study the slides and retake the exam. They did so and passed. Several other customers also purchased Roger's book, and told me it definitely was beneficial in helping them pass the exam. I like how Roger shows what percentage of the test will be based upon each topic and then gives you precise and to the point study notes in a slide format to help you refresh your knowledge of DB2 LUW Database Administrator exam's objectives.

This book provides a precise guide in aiding for the preparation for the 541 certification exam. It is the only 541 specific material available and Mr. Sanders does a great job of preparing you for the test. If you plan on taking the 541 exam and need precise study material this is the book to get.
