I bought these brushes at a local store. I have never bought such a bad paint brush. The brushes start falling out as soon as I started painting. I will never buy a Linzer product again. I wasted my money on this one.

Good quality brushes for the very low price. Similar products will probably cost 2-3 times more at retail. The bristles are very soft and holds paint well.

These were okay for rough stuff, but they didn't hold up well over time. We ended up buying top shelf brushes ($15-20 per) at our local hardware store for fine work or for highly visible areas. Those we still have. The Linzer's were tossed long ago. If quick n dirty is all you need, these will serve. You get what you pay for.

Personally, I don't like using rollers to paint a room, because I like the nice texture that a paintbrush gives. This set provides you the flexibility to use wide strokes, or fine depending upon the area of the room you are painting. For the large wall areas, I use the larger of the brushes and the painting moves along fast. If you are using textured paint, these work perfectly. Around the edges of doors and ceilings, the brush that is around 2" is perfect, in fact, i even tried it against the ceiling without taping off, and it didn't smear or bleed onto the ceiling much at all.... I always make sure to clean all the paint off the brushes, and you can always use a little bit of soap to get it out as well. Using the brushes with a nice textured paint (perhaps a suede finish) gives the room a very pleasing appearance.

If you are looking to do a quick spruce up around the house, these brushes, and the price for them are great. They work well the first time through, and although they are washable, I found that by the second and third washing, you were better off paying the $ and buying a new set. The brushes are soft, but doing fine work or trying to do trim left brush marks for me.
