I am experienced crocheter and I have to say, this is the most difficult yarn to work with. If you are a beginner, don't even try. With most difficult yarns, it is possible to work by feel, but this yarn is different. It is made with two parallel lines connected by panels and all those little threads can make it very hard to tell where the stitches are. Even when crocheted properly, it does not make very good crochet yarn, because those panels end up squished within the twists of the crochet stitches.
I've heard this looks nicer in knit, but the knitters also tell me it is difficult to work with. So, I've had this hanging around my house for a long time looking for a project befitting of its nature. I finally decided to use it on a round loom. Rather than knitting in the round, I knit it flat and the result is light and shimmering, like I had woven ribbons. RATINGS: crochet: 1 star. It's too difficult to work with and results are not impressive. knit: I don't know, but I've heard it's difficult to work with but results are pretty. knitting loom: 5 stars. It's easy to work with and produces a uniquely light and airy fabric.
