When my great aunt came out from England she knitted with this type of wool. Some people say it is hard to use. It gets really easy after a while though. We knitt scarfs with about 25-30 stiches depending on who we are knitting for. We usually need about 1 1/2- 2 balls also depending on the number of stiches. Fun fur that I have purchased elsewhere by the same brand and name is usually a silky textured, long-lashed yarn that knits into a soft, beautiful product with a soft color. The usual product is made in Italy. This yarn by the same name and brand is made in Turkey. It is coarse, has shorter, thicker "fur," and has a brassy color and straw or brillo-like texture. I returned it.

Now here's something I love. I saw a pattern for a Spring wreath on Pinterest.
They used an 8" white styro wreath, wrapped to cover the wreath, and glued
sporadically small daisies around as you like. I bought 2 because I want
a larger size wreath for my front door. Now who ever said Lion Brand yarns
weren't any good? I also like to craft a lot - it's so relaxing and rewarding!
Amazon.com is the only one that had this color (grass) and the price
was great.

I love the fun fur for knitting or crocheting critters like teddy bears, dogs, cats, etc. I made a bear with this fun fur and it turned out great. It was the first time I had used fun fur. Before I used it I looked at it and really didn't think it was going to amount to much. A thin haired critter at best. But once I started knitting my bear I saw that the fun fur somehow manages to end up all on the right side and looks like very thick fur. Knitting with this was a fun challenge that I really enjoyed and my grandson loves his bear.

I used this on my first crochet project and I found it a little difficult to work with, but the effect is really beautiful.

The "yarn" is more of a thin string with long hairs sticking out from it. I ended up missing a couple of stitches and didn't realize it until after i was done. But this added a nice furry edge to the blanket I was finishing. I expect it much easier to use if you're more skilled than I am.

This yarn replaces the Eskimo eyelash yarn very well and works up nicely in knitting. I unfortunately ordered this green color by mistake but was very pleased with the prompt and understanding way Amazon replaced it with the color I intended to ask for--black or raven. It works up nicely for the ScottishTerrier pattern in the Knit your own Scotland" book available on Amazon. Thanks you, Amazon, for your kindness!

What can I say? I'm familiar with fun fur from various projects in the past but I needed this color in particular in order to make a spring wreath for my door. The wreath looks fantabulous and the yarn has always held up. Great yarn!

I love the Fun Fur yarns. I have knitted several colorful scarves out of Fun Fur. I used the plain ivory colored Fun Fur to knit myself a shawl to match my wedding dress, since the wedding will be in October and it may be chilly then. I couldn't see wearing anything other than a shawl with my wedding dress, and didn't like any of the ones I saw, so I knitted my own out of Fun Fur!!
