Lion Brand Jiffy is a soft bulky yarn a little heavier than sports yarn.
I enjoy making afghans from Jiffy yarn because they are warm and cozy. The colors are true and the finished products are very pretty. A crachet hook size H, I or J works well with this yarn.

I'm working through a skein of this to make squares for an afghan. While the yarn feels nice and soft, I'm finding that it can tangle and knot very easily. I've found two knots as I've worked through the skein, and one large tangle that I managed to work out. The other knots are very tight. This yarn isn't as smooth as other types, so it's easy for your crochet hook to snag on a thread and separate the yarn. I think I'll have a nice finished project, but working with this yarn is going to take some extra time.

Ye gods, the fuzz. How did I not know this stuff was going to be so fuzzy? I bought it to make NICU blankets for donation, but with the way it sheds there's no way it would be appropriate. As other reviewers have noted, too, it's pretty dang thin for bulky weight yarn. I gave one skein to each of my two oldest, so it didn't go to waste, but it's still languishing because of that weird fuzziness.

It's beautiful and soft but extremely difficult to work. I don't know if it's the "hairyness" or that the yarn is too loose but it snags and splits. I won't buy this again.

I love this yarn! It looks like a brown color but in certain lights you can see it as a gray. I knitted two baby blankets with this yarn(a pink and another blanket in yellow). They both turned out wonderful. I was very impressed with the look, easy to wash. I would suggest to buy one extra skein from what pattern requires.

This worked really well for an afghan I'm crocheting. My husband picked out the colors and I ordered a few more balls on Amazon to finish up. It's soft, but still looks "hardy" enough for a mens blanket.

I should have read the reviews. Yes, it is a nice yarn but thin for 'bulky' and the fuzz! I woke up coughing the other night and I thought I'd cough up a fuzz ball!. I had to finish knitting my project with a cotton mask over my nose and face. And should you purchase for any project, make certain you buy enough. Luckily I bought two skeins because I needed more than one skein to finish a pair of wrist warmers. Normally I can get 3-4 pairs out of a normal skein.
I like it, but I don't think I'll buy it again... Too fuzzy.

I am currently finishing a afghan started by someone else and did not have enough yarn to make it the correct size. The Jiffy yarn matched the afghan exactly and it works up beautifully, washes easily, and holds it's shape. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this yarn.
