This imaginative activity book tells the story of Aesop's LION AND MOUSE and then offers a lot of clever activities based on the key words and letter sounds presented in the fable. The lovable characters from PBS's BETWEEN THE LIONS preside. Wonderful fun, and a perfect companion to the new BTL video, "Little Big Mouse"!

When Cleo goes "Between the Covers" to find out why the Lion in Aesop's fable, "The Lion and the Mouse" let the mouse go, she herself gets caught in a hunter's net. Our family loves this story, and the way the "Between the Lions" characters use it to help teach the short "i" sound. The tale is here in this wonderful activity book, along with excellent games and puzzles that reinforce those short "i" lessons. And there's a home video of the show, called "Little Big Mouse," available now, too. The show, video, and workbook make a great combination.
