5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for Educators, City Officials New to Cougar Trouble, April 27, 2009
This review is from: Lion Sense, 2nd: Traveling and Living Safely in Mountain Lion Country (Kestrel) (Paperback)
I have bought several copies of this book and provided them to School Superintendents, residents next to cougar hunting grounds, and the Police Chief. It gives a good, no BS assessment of what it means to have cougars sighted in your area. There are several lists of do's and don'ts tailored to different sports including running and biking. Most importantly, it gives great basic information that educators can use to begin the process of teaching kids how to be safe should they hear or see a cougar. There are several great books that go more indepth, but this one is the best for knowing how to protect yourself and reduce the risks to your children and your animals.

Very informative and useful book. A book that can keep you safe in cougar country. Gives you steps you need to know to understand the body language of a cougar and the do's and don't's that will help you survive an encounter. There are some books that may be larger in size, but this book gives you the important information without the fluff. Highly recommend it. Good Book!
