This is a great follow-up to "Rise of the Dibor" and Christian fantasy readers will get really hooked on this series. It is exciting and I read the whole 556 pages in less than 24 hours (which is very fast for me). Hopefully the next book will come out quickly since I am eagerly awaiting the continued story. The only complaint I have (and thus the 4 stars) is that there are a few grammatical mistakes ("its" instead of "it's", "shutter" instead of "shudder", and a few incomplete sentences that leave you wondering exactly what the author meant). I would have hoped the publisher would have caught these on editing; however, the mistakes are small and do not take away from the overall powerful story line. I believe this series is here to stay and I really think it is great.

Intense and Emotional, Gruesome yet Beautiful,
This review is from: The Lion Vrie (The White Lion Chronicles, Book 2) (Paperback)
I'm not a big epic fantasy fan. But The Lion Vrie was awesome. It's not something I could read straight through without being bored out of my mind (I read it over the course of three months between many, many other books), but I don't think it was really meant to be. It's just so deep.
Intense and emotional, gruesome yet beautiful. If you can ignore the editor's shortcomings with the grammatical errors, you'll find the writing to be incredible as well. So basically, if you're a fan of epic fantasies, you're missing out, and if you're not, well, just make sure you've got three months to read it in. I'm eagerly awaiting book three: Athera's Dawn. I hear it's even longer.

International conference speaker, recording artist, and youth pastor Christopher Hopper presents The Lion Vrie, the second book in The White Lion Chronicles. The continuation of a fantasy series tinged with a touch of reverence for the divine, much in the vein of C.S. Lewis' classic Narnia saga, The Lion Vrie follows Luik as, injured and besieged, he travels toward the wreckage of Adriel hoping against hope to be reunited with his friends. Yet when a mysterious summons commands him to give his aid, he must risk all in a quest for the legendary City of Ot. The ominous menace of the army of Morgui and its march to conquer the world overshadows this epic high fantasy. Highly recommended.

Now I'm not sure if mere words can explain this awesome tale. It is exciting, adventurous and inspiring.
Picking up where the Rise of the Dibor left off, The Lion Vrie follows the living Dionians and their desperate fight against evil. Mr. Hopper answers many difficult life questions and keeps readers captivated until the last page. WARNING, this book has the worst of all cliff hangers....ever. Be sure you can get Athera's Dawn (book 3) by the time you finish this book!!!!!!

What an action filled fantasy book! There are so many twists and adventures that you will not want to put this book down! This is the second book in The White Lion Chronicles and is the follow up to "Rise of the Dibor." It is a Christian fantasy book, which you don't get a change to read very often. This particular book is written in an easy to read language. The story follows Luik as he is injured and travels to reach his loved ones. He encounters many mishaps and interesting characters. This book was fun to read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series! I was given this book by [...] to review.

Disaster every where...,
This review is from: The Lion Vrie (The White Lion Chronicles, Book 2) (Paperback)
After reading Rise of the Dibor I didn't really think I would like Lion Vrie... Well I was wrong, Lion Vrie is an original story about the Dibor, Fane, The Dwarves of Ot, Annora, the Lion Vrie, and The Almighty.
In the sequel to Rise of the Dibor, life is grim... Morgui has won the battle, Athera's men are fleeing, women and children are missing, friends have fallen or are missing, Ragnar is dead and it seems as if the Lion Vrie and The Almighty has turned their backs on the people of Athera. Who will lead? Who is alive? Where to go? Who to trust? Does Ot have the answers? Where is The Almighty? What is Morgui up to? This book had a good pace through out, the plot was good and fairly original, and of course Christopher Hopper created an epic and awesome world. It was so good that I felt as though Christopher Hopper wanted to show off his world in this book. There was a lot of travel and discovering of new things. There was one downfall to the book. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I don't like romance. Whenever Luik and Annora were in the same room I would most likely stop and roll my eyes at all the romance. It was just to much romance. Over all this was a great read that I will be re-reading when I get the chance.
