This was the icing on the cake! Seeing my son's face on Christmas Day when the locomotive was flying on the track with the smoke coming out! Priceless.
Word of advice - this should be done by an adult. Be careful if you pick up the locomotive - don't turn it over, the liquid smoke will run out.

you only need a couple of drops, so, it will last you a long time. We have been through 4 holiday seasons and still have a lot left in the bottle. excellent buy to keep our polar express train puffing!

The good ol' bottle of smoke fluid......what can I say except that it works, and emits that distinctive "industrial" smell as the engine chugs past. I have on old cast iron engine from the early 70's, and a cloud of smoke coming out of the top is the perfect accent to a beautiful engine and overall set. A word of warning: do not overfill with fluid, as this will clog everything up, and can interfere with the electrical compenents within the engine. A few drops is all that you need. Make sure the drops are depleted before adding more. Lionel smoke fluid lasts a very long time, too. It is well worth the price.

My grandsons have been recipiants of toys of my own childhood - Lionel trainsets with steam engines. To be sure - the last steam engines left us in the late 1950's and early 1960's for freight and passenger use. As history - steam power can be brought to life as an education on the uses of steam power in our industrial age development.

Fun? You bet! Nothing else I know widens the eyes of my grandkids the first time smoke comes belching out the stack of their Lionel steam engine! Youngsters must be supervised so that the liquid is not overused or leaked onto fabric or furniture.

The smoke fluid worked great, and we used a lot of it this year in our lionel o-gauge polar express train! the smoke was nice and thick but didn't have a nasty odor. it delivered as promised and it made the kids eyes light up! i would recommend it if you love running your train and love leaving the smoke function up and running all the time! it was a blast to watch!

Nice large bottle that should last me a long long time! I havent used my Lionel in such a long time, but just a few laps around the track the engine was puffing smoke!

Satisfied with product delivery, condition of the product upon arrival. It is a needed product for proper maintenance of the steam chest electric powered steam producing mechanism. This product adds some realism and action to O guage 3 rail electric steam engine operation.
