I recently brought this DVD...and I fell in LOVE with it. My only regret is that I did not buy this sooner!!

I have not seen these videos since the late '80s - early '90s, and they really had me reminiscing. Looking over this collection, it was plain to see why Lionel Richie was the one of the hottest pop acts of the 1980s, where his only competition was Michael Jackson and Prince - good musical company to be in!! Even though today many people may dismiss Lionel's material as being too pop-oriented, I have yet to come across one person who can honestly say that they never brought any of his music!

This is like taking a trip through my late teens and early twenties all over again...I can remember all of these videos and being so moved by the "Hello" video, I had to cry. And I had the same reaction when I saw it again for the first time in God knows how many years!! The only videos I never really cared for were "Dancing On The Ceiling" (hey, I'm sorry!!) and "Penny Lover", but all the others are off the hook, especially "All Night Long" (where you see a young Lela Rochon-Fuqua dancing with Lionel), "Running With The Night" (this always reminded me of MJ's "Smooth Criminal" video), "Do It To Me" (I love this video...it is STEAMY, STEAMY, STEAMY!), "Se La" and "My Destiny". Also in the "Love, Oh Love" video, be on the lookout for a young Nicole Richie.

The one mistake that was made with this collection was the omission of "My Love", one of my favorite Lionel solo songs...which can ONLY be seen if you have a DVD-ROM in your computer and you are hooked up to the web >:-( NOT FAIR!! That was the only thing that prevented me from giving this 5 stars. But other than that, this is an extremely enjoyable DVD. Yeah, as I watch it over and over again, it reminds me just why I love Lionel, and why I can't wait for his new CD to drop next month. For the Richie fan, this DVD is a MUST to own.

This is just an outstanding DVD. It is like having Lionel right in your living room. The sound is amazing and scary at times due to its power of realism and the videos are so artisticly revealing and entertaining as a result. If you enjoy music at all you have to at least have this one music video collection from Lionel Ritchie.

This DVD was worth the money, although there were some videos not to my liking like "Penny Lover" and "Truly". But I loved the rest of videos that really had me going and that I was familiar with. The videos that I love that are included in the collection include: "All Night Long (All Night)", "Say You Say Me", "Dancing on the Ceiling", the famous "Hello" and "Running With the Night"(I can see why mom loved that video"

But the music video for "My Destiny" and "Se La" were an exception. Although I've never heard of those singles from Lionel Richie I loved them any way.

And I especially enjoyed he making of "Dancing on the Ceiling", from start to finish.

I must say this is a great dvd, with most of his best songs on it.But why in the world would they leave one of lionels best songs named MY LOVE left out just for a crappy DVD ROM feature.I really hope that universal music puts this song on the dvd in there future copies.Its one of the main reasons why i bought the dvd.If they would have put that on here i would have given it 20 STARS if i could.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE universal music fix this problem PLEASE.

I was very pleased with this DVD of Lionel Richie's music. I remember watching most of these videos on certain cable stations that played nothing but videos at that time. The video of Dancing On The Ceiling was great. I remember them showing how they shot the video and most of the other songs listed. You don't see this type of music anymore. This is "Music." Not the kind they call music today. I guess talking the lyrics to some is music, not me. This is genuine music from the heart and inner being. This type music plus other songs are now being used for recent movies for their soundtracks. Makes you wonder, huh? You won't go wrong with this DVD, Sit back, turn down the lights, close your eyes and remember. Great DVD.

well, admiteddly, this product is ONLY for fans of 80ies music,... but I gotta say I always loved Lionel Richie, and a lot of his songs are really timeless. My personnal favorite will always be "Hello". In fact, I would place "Hello" as my favorite song of all time.

this DVD brings you more than just the greatest songs by the man since you have the actual music videos.. And for a time where there were no computer graphics, some of those videos had pretty amazing effects (such as "Dancing on the Ceiling".

Anyway, if you like good music and you like Lionel Richie, this DVD should be in your collection.

I just loved this DVD. My fav being "Running with the Night". I have basically one word to describe the Lionel Richie Collection "EXCELLENT"

I like Lionel and all his songs. It brings back the gool old memorie listening to his songs. I would have rated five stars if this DVD had lyrics.

I ordered this CD twice this year. Unfortunately I was unable to play it, the devices that I have (5) that I use would not allow it. Make sure to play it as soon as received to make sure it's OK. The first one I purchased was for someone else and they never told me there was a problem and it was to late to return (30 days). Also ordered from another company with the same results. Conclusion, don't order this CD.

I was looking for a good music video and bought Lionel Ritchie's, "The Collection." I love it! The music and sound quality is great for my big screen tv. A must buy for Lionel Richie fans!
