Okay, I think it works, but it could just be a placebo effect?

I've been taking the recommended dosage for a few weeks now (2.5), and I've lost 4.5 pounds. I don't feel hungry after I take them, which is a plus (and what it is intended to do). I looked up the main ingrediant, which is part of a plant that grows natively in Japan and is used in vegan gelatins but was taken off the market as a jello-like candy for children in Japan when a number of young children and elderly persons choked and died on it (apparently it doesn't dissolve on the tongue like jello or jelly does, but requires avid chewing). However, this is not important because you are taking it in capsule form.

I took it with well over 8 ounces of water for each dose (which is 2 pills), and it is supposed to have a laxative effect. Nobody is quite sure if it blocks fat absorption as well, but it has shown in studies to have that possible effect. Anyway, I did have some bad cramping the first day that lasted about 20 minutes, and then a "movement." And then I didn't use the bathroom again for 4 days... Kind of odd, since it should be a laxative? It is basically a kind of fiber supplement, and works the same way. When I did finally have another movement, it was very painful, and has continued to be that way since. However, if you weigh the benefits vs the negatives, I guess I'd rather lose the weight and deal with a few moments of discomfort (it was only a few minutes, after all).

I also poured the contents of a pill into a glass of water, just to see what would happen. I was a bit dissappointed, my glass did not sprout legs and walk around. Nor was there any fizzing. Actually, nothing happened. Hmph.

The only thing I should mention (in addition to all I've already said) is this IS a bulk-forming fiber supplement. And you may be just as successful in weight loss by taking a generic bulk-forming fiber supplement from your local drug store for less money--they all work as a type of laxative and assist in moving things along faster than it can be absorbed into the intestine. I'd highly recommend taking a vitamin/mineral supplement before starting any fiber therapy, because you won't be absorbing fat OR nutrients as easily. That said, I'm okay with this product, but I think I'll need to see what the long term effects are before I can say for sure.

Oh, and another important note. While taking this supplement, you may notice your other medications are not working as readily as they would be while you're not taking this stuff. Just like fat and nutrients, it also blocks absorption of your medications...so be careful.

shipping time agreeable, product is A good product. I've lost weight, but it will be A while when or if I purchase more because the product gave me inspiration and courage to do A cold turkey diet--pretty much like quitting smoking cigarettes.

These pills do not work. I tried these pills for the course of the two bottles. After a week I began to realize that the pills were not even disolving and passed through whole. They don't dissolve fast enough to possibly get the medicine/supplement into your system. Instructions say to drink a lot of water with the pill and the water is the only thing keeping you from over eating cause your stomach is full of water. This product is a waste of time and money. I wasn't looking for a miracle. I did hope that it would be helpful to boost my overall fat loss. Absolutely useless.

Google this Lipozene online and see other people who tried this, it just does not work! Drinking two glasses of water has the same effect.
