5.0 out of 5 stars A really nice tray
This is the nicest silverware tray I've owned. I'd say it is also about as nice as you can get without having one custom built into your particular drawer. The color matches my drawers and cabinets perfectly. There's enough dividers for everything and they're long enough for even the large serving utensils. The only problem I've had is that since my drawer and the tray...

3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed but functional enough
The real measurement is 18" [the longer tray side] x 2.5 x 13" (expandable to 23"). I was disappointed that it did not fit my drawer the way I intended leaving extra space and not arranged the way I desired, none of the measurements in the descriptions seem to match up. It's made of decent enough wood but it's definitely a little flimsy. Every time I open the drawer, it...

Every time I open the drawer, it expands sometimes throwing utensils off, I suppose that's because I couldn't get it to fit the way it's intended. I am considering returning it because of the measurement problem and I don't know if it would hold up if I could fit it the right way.

The color matches my drawers and cabinets perfectly. There's enough dividers for everything and they're long enough for even the large serving utensils. The only problem I've had is that since my drawer and the tray are both really smooth wood and the drawer is longer than the organizer... the tray scoots back a little each time the drawer is closed with any sort of force. I've reduced this a quite a bit by putting little rubber feet on the bottom, but I think putting a rubber drawer liner may have worked even better.

4.0 out of 5 stars It helped me organized a very difficult kitchen draw., August 31, 2005

The Lipper Beechwood Expandable Flatware/Cutlery Tray was a great addition to my kitchen. I had a silverware draw that I was having difficulties organizing. The Lipper Beechwood Expandable Flatware/Cutlery Tray allowed me to organize my silverware draw and keep it that way. I am very happy with it since I have tried several other items and they worked for a short time but not for the long run.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific value and aesthetically pleasing., January 9, 2007

Great quality for the price! It is just as attractive as more expensive models and is made of quality wood that makes my drawer look like it has a custom fit organizer. The size is just wonderful...holds a LOT of flatware and accessories. More than I had anticipated.
Can't go wrong for this money. Makes your drawer a 'custom'without custom pricing. Even the organizers that cost twice as much as this did not look any better.

This substantial, expandable drawer organizer is a really helpful item, especially because it is adjustable. While it does slide around a bit unless it is braced into place, it has done a great job of helping to organize the items stored in oversize kitchen drawers. I replaced its chintzy plastic predecessor and found that I had much more storage capacity with the new wooden version -- not to mention a far more attractive result.

5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile, and Looks Great, November 3, 2006

I bought two of these, one for the silverware drawer, and one for my kitchen tools. There isn't any left over gaps between the organizer and the drawer because of how it expands so I can utilize the entire drawer. The drawers look great, and even better, I can find the kitchen tool I'm looking for.

4.0 out of 5 stars good product, January 9, 2007

Perfect for my drawer. Only one problem - the vertical space wasn't long enough for my butter knives. Had to use the horizontal space. Other than that, sturdy and good looking.

I thought the quality of the wood was excellent and the expandable feature was perfect. It takes up my whole drawer, providing ample room for all my silverware (12 sets and measuring table and teaspoons).

I don't think it's fair to rate the product poorly if you never took the time to measure your kitchen drawer and compare to the organizer's dimensions before purchasing. Yes, it moves a little when you open and close the drawer - that's physics. And there are still about 10 inexpensive options to remedy this "problem" (rubber feat, rubber mat, some random object at the back of the drawer, etc).

This replaced a similar concept I got at a brick and mortar that was just white plastic.
I wanted something that was longer from front to back when in the drawer, and this one fit the bill.
Sides expand better than the other one did too, since that one could expand "too far" and disconnect from the central piece. This one will go all the way to the edges in my slightly oversized drawer just fine.

Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the sections for forks, spoons, etc, could've been a little narrower for my tastes, so things would stack better, not spill over. That would also have given more room for another section. So while I can't fit some of the oversized items as well in the top above the forks and such as I did in the one I am replacing, the larger space on the left and right for oversized things picked up the slack.

Well made, nice and sturdy, and I get no sense from feeling the finish that slivers will ever be a concern.

Now I just need to put some rubber feet on the bottom to help keep it from sliding back an inch or two whenever my 6 year old closes the drawer too hard...

I love this drawer organizer, as it's allowed me organize my oodles of kitchen tools and silverware...The only hitch is that it's about 2" shorter than the length of the drawer, so it slips up and down when I open the main drawer...I put a wad of bubble wrap to keep it from moving so much, but it's only helped minimally...I probably need to find a small box or something to set at the back to keep it firmly in place. Other than that, it makes me smile each time I open the drawer ; )
