Lipper Divided Bamboo Tea Box with Clear Lid

This tea box is beautiful and well made. It would make a great box for anyone who uses tea in smaller bags. However, I use it for [...]tea and the packages are a bit big for the box. You can squeeze them in but you can't fit as many as it says you should be able to do. Also, the description says the dividers are removable, which was a big selling point for me, but they are not.

I drink a LOT of tea, and was tired of having a million different tea boxes sitting on my counter. I loved the glass-top of this box and that it holds 8 different types of tea as opposed to many other boxes that only hold 6. I noticed another reviewer mention that his inserts were not removable...this was not a factor in purchasing for me, but the box I received DOES have removable inserts. So just a heads up they have fixed this error.

Unfortunately, while this box LOOKS very nice sitting on my counter, and it does in fact do what it says it does, it's not put together very well. On my box, where the wood slab on the right side connects to the wood slab along the back, it is not held together (I included photos above). This means if I'm not very careful I could rip the whole box apart. Also, because the seam isn't sealed, the lid sits crookedly. I'll fix this by buying some wood glue and securing it myself, but the overall feel of the box is very light. This is by no means a heavy tea box.

Overall, I'm just a little less than satisfied with this purchase, but not so much that I'll return it. It's an attractive box, and MUCH better than all the small tea boxes I had out, but as for other people looking to buy, I think I'd recommend finding something a bit more sturdy.

This tea box is beautiful! I love the large size - 4 rows instead of 3 - and the clear lid so I can see what is (and isn't!) inside. I can fit one whole box of Bigelow brand tea, which are individually wrapped, in one square. I have since purchased 2 more for gifts and I feel really good about this box being made from Bamboo which is an environmentally friendly choice. Thanks Lipper!

I just arrived this box and it arrived broken. there was no bubble wrap or protection inside the box. The hinges shown in the picture are NOT the hinges that actually come on the box. The picture shows sturdy, more of a quality hinge versus what arrived to my home. The hinges that are actually on the box are small and cheap. Both were broken upon arrival. I am asking for a refund. What a dissapointment!! Amazon, change the picture of the what you "say" is arriving bc its not the same.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister and she loved it! It's actually larger than I thought initially but it fits all our standard tea bags nicely. The construction seems sturdy, has an acrylic glass top and removable dividers inside. There are gold metal hinges on the back but no latch in the front. It's a nice light brown colour and I really liked the fact that's made out of bamboo. Overall, a great buy for the quality and use.

Item looks nice. Filled it up with tea bags. Used it once for company. Went to use it again and the whole back piece pulled away from the rest of the bottom section and the item just fell apart. Very poorly made and now too late to return the item.

I love this tea box! It looks beautiful sitting on my counter and it holds a TON of tea bags. Each of the 8 compartments will hold approximately 12 to 15 of the small standard-sized bags and the dividers are removable if you want it to hold a little bit more (or larger-sized bags). The only problem I had, as some of the previous reviewers mentioned, is the back panel that the lid is attached to fell completely off the first time I opened the box!! I guess they forgot to glue some of these at the factory, but there's no need to send the item back. You'll probably just end up with another unglued one and it's very easy to fix the problem yourself. I just stood the box up on its front panel, added a few lines of gel superglue to the back panel and pressed it on tightly. There are "tongue and groove" areas on each side of the back panel, so it's very easy to snap it back into the correct position. After gluing it, I placed a heavy object on it and let it set for about 5 minutes and it was as good as new! I also added some felt pads to the bottom of the box to keep it from scratching my countertop. All in all, with a few minor tweaks this was a GREAT buy for the money! :)

If you're a big tea drinker this is a great product to own. Even if you've never considered organizing that mess of cardboard tea boxes in your cabinet, you'll still wonder who you ever could have lived without this beautiful Lipper tea box. The spaces for the tea are perfectly sized and the glass lid is a really great feature. Whatever time of the day or night I'm looking to make some tea this box makes choosing a flavor much easier then rooting through the cabinet and missing the flavors at the back. This is a great product and I'm realy happy with it.

I was scared to buy this item because of the previous bad feedback. My worries were put to rest the moment I opened the package that arrived within two days after ordering!
This box is awesome! It holds every type of tea bags we had - including some special imported tea from Malaysia, China and Thailand! I'd venture to say we have about 7 different sizes and shapes - all fit. We DID have to put the foil wrapped type in the middle (the clear window gives a little more clearance than the frame that holds it)...but all in all, we cleared out about 10 boxes of tea into this miracle box! Our hot beverage shelf hasn't looked this nice in years!

The construction seems to be solid - the dividers ARE removable and we couldn't be more pleased with our purchase! It makes a lovely presentation!

Now, we have to invite some guests so we can ask "Would you like some tea?" and display our new lovely box!

First of all, I ordered on a Monday and rec'd the next day ! Way to go Amazon ! Very nice looking and well made product. Also, better price than most places I searched for this product ! Great addition to my kitchen collection ! LOVE IT !
