Flimsy latch broke off in a week,

I bought this item as a birthday gift. Sadly the latch broke off after a week. This is probably because the box is not tall enough to accommodate some taller tea bags (e.g., Stash), and this puts an upward pressure on the lid.
It is a shame since the wood quality and finish are pretty good. I now wish I bought a gift from a local store - then at least the return / exchange would be faster and less problematic. |
