This product is 15.2" in length with eight slots for plates. My kitchen cabinet is 23" wide (inside measurement), so I bought two racks. I cut one down to make a 7.5" rack and glued it onto the other 15.2" rack. Now I have one rack just under 23" long which fits nicely onto one of the shelves in my cabinet. It has 12 slots rather than eight. I use it for six 9" square plates and six round plates, 8.5" in diameter.
If you intend to use this rack as a pot lid holder you should remember that the handles take up space. Expect to use every other slot for this situation. If you intend to use plates greater than an inch and a quarter in depth you will find that the plates do not lean back properly; they fall forward, touching the neighboring plate. A good buy for what it is.

Nice looking, sturdy, one little problem,

We bought this to use as a pan lid organizer. It works perfectly for our pan lids! I really like the looks and the weight of the bamboo. It did have one little problem; despite a tight construction, I had to re-glue the cross-supports, but no big deal. Otherwise it would be a five for my use.

I bought two of these plate racks to organize space in the large china hutch we have in our dining room. Wasn't sure if they'd be sturdy enough for my fiesta dinner plates, but they turned out to be just the ticket. The racks appear to be built well; no defects and the pegs well-glued. For the cost, they just can't be beat.

Got this for my father as a gift. It works great for storing all of his pots and pans lids in a nice systematic order simplifing the process of finding the right lid while cooking. I found it worked well for holding pieces of small wood for a project I was working on and keeping them in order and out of harms way while drilling, cutting, and routering other pieces for the project.

I used this by mounting it inside an existing open faced kitchen cabinet to create a plate rack and it worked perfectly! Great size and quite sturdy; the finish on it is nice too!

I searched high and low for something made of bamboo wood to hold my glass dishes in an upward position and this was the perfect find. The price was great and I really enjoy this little rack.

The PlateRack/Pot Lid Holder was JUST what I needed to organize my cabinets. Now the plates are handier with out dealing with a HEAVY stack and they don't get scratched by each other. I'd seen many of these holders that held seven plates (don't know why) which made no sense since sets come in eights. Used another one for pot lids - no more clanging piles of lids! Can find the right size in a jiffy.

does it's job...but not for the larger size lids,

This product works as described. It holds standard pot lids in the cabinet vertically. The only issue that I have is that it is unable to hold very heavy lids as well as larger & odd shaped lids. The prongs are equally spaced and cannot be removed. For the price, it can't be beat. This is a lot cheaper on amazon than if you were to buy it at target or other local retail stores.

I purchased these to display my Festaware plates and they worked perfectly, I also cut one down to used in a 12-inch cabinet for my cookie sheets, pizza pans etc. My husband drilled new holes and it works great for this purpose as well. You can also use it for your pot lids. I consider this a great buy for the cost.
