Lipper International Bamboo Rolltop Bread Box

The box is pleasant to the eye but the way the rolltop bamboo slats are secured is weak. There needs to be material that covers the rolltop bamboo from the inside that is stronger and secured better so the slats are secured for consistant opening and closing. The glued material weakens and after awhile separates from the rolltop slats thereby causing slats spacing to widen or angulat so as to make opening and closing difficult.

I couldn't be happier with this bread box. It's well made, it slides open and close easily, it can hold two loafs, it looks good, I like bamboo, what else can I ask?
I was getting tired of keeping my bread in plastic walmart bags and I couldn't find anything made of wood in stores, just metal which didn't close properly and I didn't like, even though it was stainless steel. Bamboo is so much better. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

A very handsome unit with a small footprint. The roll top (so far) has worked smoothly. I noted on some reviews that there was concern over the way the roll top was constructed. The one I received has a cloth backing glued to the entire roll top, which should add to its durability. Tall loaves need to stored on their sides. Suggest giving it a quick wipe with a bit of mineral oil to make sure that you don't have any wood shrinkage. It is sturdy enough that you can place other items on top of it.

The breadbox arrived pretty much in separate pieces. Looks like a poor assembly was exacerbated by poor packaging. We had to take everything completely apart, remove broken staples, then re-attach the boards together with some glue. It looks nice now.

This rolltop bread box is top notch quality at a good price. It looks fantastic and the rolltop work effortlessly. I shopped at many stores to find one of these and every one stuck repeatedly and looked cheap. When I purchased this it was on backorder but it was well worth the wait!

This Bread Box WILL NOT hold two loaves of bread. It also IS NOT the size that is listed. I would not buy this product again .

We have a new rescue dog that still counter surfs from time to time and we had to find a solution to keep him from eating a loaf a bread a day! This product is attractive, well made and does the trick! My daughter liked it so much, I bought her one as well. I recommend it and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and look.

Well made breadbox is an attractive addition to my counter top. It holds 2 loaves easily. I am very pleased with it's appearance.

This is a fabulous bread box holder! Wife loves it! Reminded both of us when we wer little kids when our parents had on in the kitchen! It's very well constructed and keeps the cats away from our bread!

This is very durable and it looks great. I put my recipe box on top to save space and it supports the weight fine. You can fit a loaf of bread, bagles, english muffins and wraps all in here at once
