The other reviewers covered the cards pretty well. I'd like to address the 70 question qbank included with the set.

The questions are poor quality. Some of them have more than one correct answer. They purport to be "board style" but many of them are "which statement is false" type questions, which are not used on the boards. Sometimes choices can be ruled out because they directly contradict something in the question stem.

The software is poor quality. In exam mode, you can only get feedback on the answer choice you selected. This is useless when the correct answer has the explanation and the incorrect one you selected only says "incorrect." It doesn't keep track of which questions you've seen, so expect repeats if you don't do it all in one 70 question block. You have to scroll through a tiny window to read the question and scroll through a second tiny window to read the feedback, which, again, is sometimes useless.

I used all my USMLEWorld micro questions and I was looking forward to supplementing them with these. It turned out to be a waste of time.

These cards have been very helpful in my Step 1 preparation. They really only cover the important pathogens, pretty much in line with what First Aid covers.

They're nicely organized, with a road map before each group - a card containing a flow chart with all the RNA viruses before the actual RNA virus cards, for example.

They have a clinical vignette on one side with a picture, usually an animation of what you would see on culture. Better description of the bug, associated disease(s), treatment, etc. on the back.

Overall I really like these.

Great NCs for high yield level 1 review. I much preferred using these NCs to the Micro Made Ridiculously Easy book. The flow charts at the beginning of each section were great for the big picture.

I don't like these cards. If I could go back I would purchase McGraw Hill cards since their pharmacology and Biochem cards are excellent.

First, these cards come in a box that isn't that durable and they have a weird lamination that makes writing on them hard since the ink smears all over.
More importantly, the actual content is bad. One side of the card contains part of their identifying information, the other side contains the rest, which is just hard to study from. Also, many of their facts are wrong. Examples "BCG and F tularenis are the only live attenuated bacterial vaccines." Well I guess that means the live attenuated S. Typhi vaccine I got wasn't real, not to mention the epidemic typhus vaccine. Another one "Lyme disease is the most common vector bourne disease." So malaria isn't a thing? Lyme disease is the most common tick bourne disease in the Northern hemisphere, but that's a long ways from the most common vector bourne period. Both of those quotes are word for word from the cards, and I'm not even half way through. Those are just my favorites.

I bought these cards mainly for Step 1 and I went through all of them once. I thought they were helpful, especially the trees at the beginning of every section that show you how things are divided. These review cards had good information, some of which I thought was a little extra for the boards. If you learned micro well during first year, then the combination of First Aid and UWorld should be sufficient to prepare for Step 1 microbiology. Overall these cards are decent but I would not buy them again. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the information on these cards may be a little too "clinical" for first year microbiology classes. The info is mainly geared towards Step 1.

So, memorizing all those stuff from Micro can be pretty tough for some people- mainly, me! But these cards are SO high-yield, it's ridiculous. It also gives you the classic case on the other side of the card.
MUST HAVE!!!!! Really helped me pull up my grade in Micro and focus my attention for the Step 1
