This book is very helpful it has every nursing procedure that you can think of all in this one book. Now I don't have to carry around different books.

A great book to use in nursing school. Wished I had this book earlier in school. Would recommend it to anyone considering going to nursing school because it has rationales and lots of pictures.

Lippincott's Nursing Procedures, Fifth Edition is nice to have when you're unclear as to how to perform a certain procedure right out of nursing school. Nursing clinicals unfortunately do not provide enough exposure to many procedures (many times a student will perform a procedure just once) due to time constraints or missed opportunities. This book can never replace hands-on experience, but can be referred to for reinforcement of existing skills or for those that need fine-tuning. The book is extensive and long, and has smaller print, so be prepared to read a lot. This book highlights all needed supplies, preparation, the implementation of the procedure itself, special considerations, complications, and documentation. This book features some very good photos depicting the procedures clearly. I recommend this book for new nursing students. I just graduated, and will be using this book until I'm totally comfortable in my new profession.

This book serves as a step by step resource for nursing procedures. As such, it is very basic;therefore it can serve as a starting point for professional nursing to apply nursing knowledge to nursing practice through the procedures.

No nurse should ever spend a day at work without this book. This book is like the procedure 'bible' for nurses. Do not leave home without it.

Good reference book. I use it to teach nursing students in their first year of nursing school. So far, so good.

This book is exceptional, I regret not having access to it during my nursing degree, completed Nov 2009. During my future experiences in nursing this book will be so valuable, it documents and illustrates many procedures and topics that every nurse should be familiar with. THank you.
