Helpful in limiting amount of notes that need to be taken,

This review is from: Maternal Newborn Nursing (Paperback)
This series of books is very helpful and full of information that the huge textbooks have but very condensed. Great to make additional notes in the margins that the textbook deems is necessary information to acquire.

Lippincott's Review Series: Maternal-Newborn NursingAlthough not as detailed as the other textbooks, the content is well-organized and well-described. It's great as a supplement textbook.

Nice, easy reading, covers what you need to know. Read it all and practiced the CD questions a lot. Got an "A" in the maternal-newborn section of nursing school.

The idea is good for the layout but that's the only positive I could find.Page 4 Table 1-2 is incorrect. Neonatal death rate is the # of deaths occurring between birth and 28 days and Perinatal death rate is the sum of the fetal and neonate death rate. Page 26, question 3: Which of the following breast structures is responsible for milk production. 1)Acini cells 2)Areola 3)Lactiferous ducts 4)Nipple . I chose #1 but the answer key says the correct answer is #4. Come on... Question 12 on the same page involves more than one correct answer but the question never said to circle all the correct answers. I didn't go any further in the book. 3 strikes your out. |
