Thoroughly updated and now in full color, the Ninth Edition of the top-selling NCLEX-RN® review reflects the current NCLEX® test plan and contains more than 5,800 total test questions—including alternate-format questions—to help students practice taking the exam. Organized by practice area—childbearing family and neonate, child health, adult medical-surgical, and psychiatric-mental health—the book contains more questions than any other NCLEX-RN® review and includes more pharmacology-related questions. The author clearly explains the rationale for correct and incorrect answers. Six comprehensive tests resembling the format of the NCLEX-RN® are included.

A bound-in CD-ROM includes over 1,300 questions for additional practice.

A companion Website on thePoint offers instructor and student resources including personal NCLEX® study plans and test tips for students, instructor and student PowerPoint presentations, and 250 NCLEX® questions for iPod.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good questions with rationales, but a few errors, January 20, 2008
This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
This review book is generally very good, with an endless supply of questions. However, on occasions questions and answers will contradict themselves (which can be EXTREMELY irritating and frustrating). I have experienced this both in the book and when using the CD. I also have Mosby's Comprehensive Review for NCLEX 18th edition which remains my favorite (I have used 3 different reviews). I highly reccomend it, and my friends who have other review books tend to like it better as well. The review outlines are extremely helpful, and the questions and rationales provided are great! Their CD is better too because it allows you to bookmark questions to go back to later. You can also narrow questions down on a more specific level (i.e. pediatric pharmacology). Hope this helps!

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful NCLEX study, June 27, 2008
This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
This is a great book for practicing NCLEX questions. It does not have outline format information as some NCLEX review books, have. I did not purchase it for that purpose. I wanted questions and rationale. It served me well. In another review it said that some questions are contradictory, that is true, and some are not well written. I guess I expect that when you are looking at thousands of questions. I have used another book also during nursing school, but for the last few months have used this book to prepare for my exam, which I took today. Kudos.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT NCLEX questions and rationales book!, August 13, 2009
This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
I purchased this book before my senior yr of nursing school and used it frequently for OB, Peds, and Med-surg. I liked how it was divided into sections (OB, Peds, med/surg, etc.) and it was further categorized into specific disease processes. It was very helpful before tests because I could just review questions specific to test material. Also, there are several comprehensive tests at the end of the book which I found helpful before NCLEX. Furthermore, this was the only NCLEX questions/rationales book I used before taking NCLEX-RN and I passed with flying colors! I believe this book is a must have for any nursing student!!
