4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful NCLEX study
This is a great book for practicing NCLEX questions. It does not have outline format information as some NCLEX review books, have. I did not purchase it for that purpose. I wanted questions and rationale. It served me well. In another review it said that some questions are contradictory, that is true, and some are not well written. I guess I expect that when you are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good questions with rationales, but a few errors, January 20, 2008
This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
This review book is generally very good, with an endless supply of questions. However, on occasions questions and answers will contradict themselves (which can be EXTREMELY irritating and frustrating). I have experienced this both in the book and when using the CD. I also have Mosby's Comprehensive Review for NCLEX 18th edition which remains my favorite (I have used 3 different reviews). I highly reccomend it, and my friends who have other review books tend to like it better as well. The review outlines are extremely helpful, and the questions and rationales provided are great! Their CD is better too because it allows you to bookmark questions to go back to later. You can also narrow questions down on a more specific level (i.e. pediatric pharmacology). Hope this helps!

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful NCLEX study, June 27, 2008

This is a great book for practicing NCLEX questions. It does not have outline format information as some NCLEX review books, have. I did not purchase it for that purpose. I wanted questions and rationale. It served me well. In another review it said that some questions are contradictory, that is true, and some are not well written. I guess I expect that when you are looking at thousands of questions. I have used another book also during nursing school, but for the last few months have used this book to prepare for my exam, which I took today. Kudos.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT NCLEX questions and rationales book!, August 13, 2009
This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
I purchased this book before my senior yr of nursing school and used it frequently for OB, Peds, and Med-surg. I liked how it was divided into sections (OB, Peds, med/surg, etc.) and it was further categorized into specific disease processes. It was very helpful before tests because I could just review questions specific to test material. Also, there are several comprehensive tests at the end of the book which I found helpful before NCLEX. Furthermore, this was the only NCLEX questions/rationales book I used before taking NCLEX-RN and I passed with flying colors! I believe this book is a must have for any nursing student!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Nursing Students, June 29, 2009

This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX is an essential book for nursing students. I originally went to my local bookstore to buy the Saunder's version. They didn't have it so I bought the Lippincott because it had a lot of practice questions. I ended up buying the Saunders book too and I can tell you, the Lippincott's is superior. I like that it just has questions. They are categorized by systems in the body and each system is further categorized which makes for easy studying. It takes no time to find a section you need. I just finished third semester nursing and we had a psych test. All I studied was my NCLEX book and I was one of the only people to get an A on my test. I recommended the book to a lot of my fellow students and they said it helped them as well. I like the CD Rom disc it comes with as well. It's broken up into Med/Surg, Psych, Maternity, and Pediatric nursing sections to do practice tests. I use it all the time and would recommend to everyone in nursing school.

This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
I am happy with this book. It delivered what it promised and what I wanted - a ton of questions and answers to help me get ready for (and pass!) the NCLEX. I thought the questions were challenging and well organized, and it provided very thorough answers and rationales. It's a great choice for any nursing student!

This review is from: Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN® (Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn) (Paperback)
I was looking for a review book with only questions and practice tests...many books have more on how to prepare for the NCLEX than actual questions for practice, but this product is exactly what I wanted. It has hundres of great questions for each subject area and 6 comprehensive tests. In addition to that, the CD-ROM includes even more practice questions!

This is a good book for just questions and answers.
I found that the Saunder's review book gave a nice review before the Q & A in each of the major areas of nursing.
